This quest completion will trigger the cut scene. Even though it's short, I enjoy watching it as it shows the true might of the Horde!

The Alliance equivalent of this quest is Lion's Landing Lion's Landing.

Well this is frustrating, I lit the bonfire and... nothing. No cutscene, no follow-up quest. Likely due to the huge amount of players attempting to do it at the same time, but I hate to think I've locked myself out of something the day it became available.

Ok, after some more research, I found this:

After lighting the bonfire, you should normally trigger a cutscene showing the main Horde forces rolling in. Afterwards, you would reappear at approximately 10.3 54.1, in the north-west corner of the island. The following cutscene would happen in "real time", i.e. you could walk around and potentially miss it:

Garrosh: Do you see, champion? There is little my Horde cannot accomplish. What is this?
(Vol'jin saunters up, showing off his new model)
Garrosh: Vol'jin, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on your island kissing frogs?
Vol'jin: The question is, what are WE doin' here? Yeh bring dis war to anudder corner of Azeroth, and I wanna know why.
Garrosh: Your lack of vision is why your people are still primitives, and your lack of loyalty is why I did not summon the Darkspear for this campaign.
Garrosh: Look around you, Vol'jin. This land is rich in resources: wood, stone, iron, fuel. And people.
Garrosh: A show of might on these shores will make the pandaren think twice about joining the Alliance.
Vol'jin: All dis bloodshed make everyone tink twice 'bout joinin' da Horde.
Garrosh: This is the difference between me and you, Vol'jin. I won't let MY people starve to death in the desert. I will stop at nothing - NOTHING - to ensure a proud and glorious future for the orcs and anyone with the courage to stand with us. Wait here.
Garrosh Hellscream and Rak'gor Bloodrazor exchange hushed words
Garrosh: There is something you can do, troll, to demonstrate your value to the Horde. A mission in the heart of this continent.
Vol'jin: I will go, but only as a witness for my people. Someones gotta keep you in check, Garrosh.
(Vol'jin mounts up and rides away)

After the cutscene, you would auto-accept the quest Dagger in the Dark.

The cutscene didn't play for me either, and I was in some weird phase where it was basically an empty beach except Garrosh and I. I ventured further into the island (around the center) and then I shifted into the correct phase, so you might want to try that if you are having issues with the cutscene playing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch the cutscene, but at least I could finish my dailies.

Did all of the above, no cutscene for me but I completed the "Dagger in the Dark" scenario. Went back to domination point looking for the continuation of the main storyline and found nothing. I saw a few dailies so I did them. I figured I'd get to "Friendly" rep with the Dominance Offensive to automatically attain or get some indication where/what to do next. I found nothing of the sort. Standing at domination point picking my nose..

*edit* did my domination point dailies today and upon completion, Nazgrim gave me "Rise Of An Empire", the next quest in the chain!

And this is why I love the Horde and the Warcraft universe in general so much -- our moral ambiguity.

Half of me was thrilled and so proud to see the Horde battleships racing to the point in the cutscene, but when Vol'jin came to warn Garrosh, those were my exact feelings about both of our factions coming to Pandaria as well.

Ok, so I watched the cut scene then I watched the conversation between Garrosh and Vol'jin. That's when i noticed that none of the NPC's had quest to give me. Not a single one. I tried logging out, leaving the area, doing something else for a while, and completely exiting the game....still no change.

Has anyone had this happen? Any ideas?

To start this quest chain you need to talk the the tauren (forgot his name, hes in a yellow paladin armor i believe) in "Shrine of two moons" and aceept "Meet the scout" quest, if you're a horde. You also need to complete this if you want to advance through the Wrathion legendary quest

Great little cutscene, gets me pumped every time I see it.

I especially like how the wind riders zoom past like fighter jets :P
