If you plan this, the quest can be completed on the same day you get it. The day before you hit the reputation required you plant the seeds you will need for the quest. When you then get the quest, all you need to do is harvest the plants in your farm and plant new seeds (if you don't need the plants you can dig them up with the shovel after getting credit).

The farm seems to reset around midnight to harvest. So, it can be a while off. If you have some time plant a bunch of cabbage seeds then dig them up if they're not bursting. Keep doing it. It will take a while, but, you won't have to wait for reset.

It took me 97 cabbage seeds to get the 3 bursting cabbage procs to finish this quest right away without waiting a day. took about 20-30mins of planting, get to growing, dig up, repeat. did 8 soils at once and left wiggling and alluring alone until i had 8 of them that way then aoe'd all 8 at once.

ok i did not read what the quest sed. and did not cach the harvist 3 crops part. so i planted 3 had 15 cabig on me and then with in that 3 i planted i got a fullie groun cabig. so i continued to plant seeds and disroy the crop, did this bout 60 times went throgh 3 stacks of seeds. and i got 3 fullie groun cabiges so i was able to harvest them also. havent tryed this with a nother crop yet but it dose work with the cabiges wile on this quest. so no whating just need bout 20 min of time and some munny lol

There is another possibility, to do this in one day, rather than wait overnight. It's not necessarily optimal, but it's an option.

You can plant your whole field full of cabbage, tend them till they're growing, then dig them up with the dented shovel over and over again, until you get 3 Burst Green Cabbages.

The downsides are plenty. It's a slow process, you can't dig up crops until they are "growing" which means you have to tend to each crop first. The chances of a bursting crop are also very low, so this process can take sometime. But it's possible, if you REALLY don't wanna sacrifice your songbells.

I did the quest in 10 minutes, here's how:

Buy a lot of Green Cabbage seeds (start with 60, unless you feel lucky) and grab the shovel.

Repeat this process:

1. Position yourself in the middle of 4 soils
2. Till x4
3. Plant x4
4. Tend xN (N <= 4)
5. If you get Wiggling or Alluring ignore those until you get 3, then click on them all and kill the mobs
6. Use shovel/harvest xN (N <= 4)
7. Repeat until you harvest 3 bursting crops

I started with 4 untilled soils and only had to kill 3 mobs (the only really tedious tending you have to do)

When you hand in the quest and head back to Farmer Yoon's farm, a brief scene will occur.

Farmer Fung approaches Farmer Yoon's farm from the side. Farmer Yoon waves at Farmer Fung.

Farmer Yoon says: Hey, look, someone's coming up the road. Hellooooo Farmer Fung! Nice to meet you!

Farmer Fung waves back.

Farmer Fung says: Well met, Farmer Yoon. I had to come by and see your farm for myself.
Farmer Fung says: Not too shabby. Looks like you've got room for more fields there, too.
Farmer Fung says: Here's a tip from one farmer to another. There are lots of upgrades to buy at Halfhill Market. Gina Mudclaw sells tools, and Merchant Greenfield sells seeds.
Farmer Fung says: Anyway, I just came by to thank you for the cabbages. Couldn't have grown better myself!
Farmer Fung says: In fact, anyone who can grow such a perfect vegetable needs to be a Tiller, which is why I'm voting you in.

Farmer Fung approaches the Shrine and casts his vote.

Farmer Fung says: Hey, looks like you've only got two more votes to go!
Farmer Fung says: You'll need to prove yourself to Nana and Haohan Mudclaw. Those two Mudclaws will be tough to sway, but I think you can do it.

What plants you will need for each quest.

You will need for the first quest 1 scallion plant for the next, 2 carrots plants, for the next 3 cabbages plants, for the next 3 witchberry plants, and for the last one 4 striped melon plants. But if you plant the ones you will need the day before you get the quest for them just remember not to harvest them without the quest. ;)

You may want to plant the next item in the "votes" list so that you don't have to wait for the dailes to reset

I have compiled the five people and their votes below.

For example: When you go to plant the scallion for Gina, you also plant the Juicycrunch Carrots for Mung Mung. This will make it so that as soon as you hit honored you can do Mung Mung's questline all at once and not have to wait until the next day. If you have bought the Grand Commendation of the Tillers, you should be just over honored when you get to this quest.

The five people and their veggies to plant and their votes are as follows (including this quest)

Plant and harvest 1 Scallions, then deliver 5 Scallions to Gina Mudclaw.

Mung-Mung's Vote III: The Great Carrot Caper (Requires level 90)

Farmer Fung's Vote III: Crazy For Cabbage

Plant and harvest 3 Green Cabbages, then deliver 15 Green Cabbages to Farmer Fung.

Green Cabbage Seeds can be purchased from Merchant Greenfield at Halfhill Market. After tilling and tending your plant, you must wait until the next day to harvest ripe Green Cabbages.
