In MoP, you will be able to get valor points by doing dailies. The 25 daily quest cap will be removed, and there will be hundreds of new dailies to do. Now you won't have to farm it by doing dungeons anymore, if you prefer doing dailies instead.

Note that you can skin the little adds, which makes this a pretty decent spot for skinning.

It says here you get 141g reward for this quest (and other lvl 90 daily quests), but I only get 19g. Is wowhead or wow correct?

If you kill the outer sleeping cubs, don't go after the two right on either side of the Wild Huntress. Those two will aggro her. She's much easier to down with just two cub adds. As an Elemental Shammy I died twice, but luckily when I got back the last time, there was a group killing her so I was able to get a shot in and get credit. The group gave me pointers in case I'm not so lucky next time!

I just done this quest on my warlock. i died twice then tried my void walker i got him to take the dark huntress while i aoed down the little adds ( destruction warlock btw ) just done Rain of Fire and Havest life on them while my void walker tanked the huntress.Don't worry your voidwalker wont kill her he will bring her down to 32 - 35 % health then all you need to do is put dots up and watch her die lol , As for hunters & Shamans , Hunters just use a tanking pet (a turtle is prefect for this )since it will keep aggro on the Huntress and her cubs while you kill her down. For Shaman's doesnt matter what dps spec just pop your earth elemental and let him tank for you and spam chain lighting and earthquake if your elemental and if your enchanment do the same thing with the earth elemental and chain lighting the single target the huntress and your good as gold , Hope this helped Have fun and good luck x

I am a lvl 90 fire mage. I have tried and tried to do the dark huntress quest and keep dying. Anyone with a fire mage completed this quest solo yet?

Done solo with a lvl 90 frost mage - had to sheep the Windward Huntress first, then kill the cubs. Once the cubs were dead, I pulled the huntress to just outside the cave as the cubs often respawn before the fight would otherwise finish (not too far out as other tigers also patrol the area).

I was finally able to solo her as a Discipline Priest after dying miserably about 7 times.

From my experience, attacking any of her babies will aggro her as well. The only way I was able to actually kill her was to kill all of her babies right off the start. To do this, I threw Shadow Word: Pain on all of them and used Divine Star when it was availible while keeping Power Word: Shield up on me. I also summoned my Mindbender to help kill them faster until only the Dark Huntress was left.

Once it was down to just her, I made sure to keep Shadow Word: Pain up on her at all times and Power Word: Shield on myself. Keeping Renew and Prayer of Mending on myself also helped keep my health up, so I only had to use Desperate Prayer and my other heals near the end. The fight was long enough that I was able to summon my Mindbender again, which helped me kill her before her babies respawned. They come back fairly quickly and every time I died was due to her babies respawning too quickly for me to heal myself up and kill them again.

That was my experience with her, so good luck if anyone is still having trouble killing her alone! :)

The way to do this as a SP:

- Go for the mommy.
- Put power shield on you
- Put VT and SWP on the mommy
- MB on the mommy
- Then the cubs will come, let them come and stay on the mommy and keep your shield up
- When the cubs are around you, put psyfiend out, stay on the mommy the whole time
- The cubs will run away in fear for 30 sec, the mommy will run too but you do damage on her so she will return
- Then you can kill her off, before the cubs return
- After when the cubs return, you'll have to finish them off but that is easy then

I used Desperate Prayer once, no flash heal or renew necassary.

I have a disc priest, and i died 3 times trying to solo this. Finally, i figured out how to do it.

at full health and mana, throw pw:s up, pull mama, babies follow. pull out mindbender, let him do some damage, and keep pw:s on. heal. when you start taking good damage from the group, fear them away, heal with penance and renew, throw pw:s back on, and start dpsing mama. repeat until she goes down, then mind sear the babies down.

I tried pulling just the babies, one at a time, like someone else said on here, and the furthest baby from mama will still pull everything. so just pull them all anyway, and get mama down first. then worry about babies.

I just did this with my arcane mage. I polymorphed the momma. I killed the cubs. Then I used my rune of power and my mirror image & was able to take the momma down.

I am a combat Rogue. I died twice and this is how I did it. Firstly, I removed a few of the tigers who were lurking around the outside of the cave area. I stealthed, went in and sapped the momma. I had just about killed the cubs when she awoke, but then it was relatively easy to kill her. As I was skinning, the cubs respawned, so they are fast.

Since no one else has posted suggestions for balance druids, I'll share my experience here. I died 5 times on it this morning before getting it right.

1) Stand in the mouth of the cave in a spot where you will not aggro the cubs if they repop during the fight with the mama, and where you won't be jumped on by tigers from behind.

2) Hibernate the huntress.

3) Dot the first cub. You call kill it before the others attack but they will all come. Dot and aoe them down. Rejuv to keep health topped off.

4) Re-hibernate huntress if necessary. You will want full health for this, so get all healed up.

5) Burn the huntress down as quickly as you can. Keep dots rolling. Keep your health up as you can during the fight also.

6) She will enrage. Use soothe to dispel it. Otherwise you will quickly become cat food as she hits for big numbers when in this state. This is why you want to keep health up during the fight. If she enrages while you have low health you might not get her soothed before you're dead.

Hate to admit this but the first time my Feral killed the "Dark Saber" and wondered why I didn't get credit for the quest. Then, following my quest tracker arrow, I flew to the top of the mountain, only to then discover she was in a cave. Duh. By the time I got to the Huntress, I was so irritated I almost broke a key or two trying to kill her. Didn't notice initially that the cubs had woken up but Thrash & Swipe with a Crit buff really gets the job done in close-in AoE situations.

So the target is in the cave in case you were wondering, which you probably were not. : D

Have done this one twice now as level 89 and then 90 paladin. haven't died doing so. I just aggroed the mom, left the cubs alone as several of my spells hit mom and the babies too. they died as I was killing mom and when she finally went down i had one cub left. did have to keep healing myself to make it though...thank goodness for healing!
