Like many other Cataclysm quests, if you happen upon somebody else killing him, you can help out and still get credit regardless of whether or not you are grouped.

4.0.6: Alliance can turn this quest into to Captain Jake Sones at the Baradin Base Camp on Tol Barad Peninsula if the quest giving NPC's despawn in preparation for another battle.

blue gear frost mage can solo him easy he is Immune to deep freeze so he get alot of dmg use clons to take agrro from u and if u got free cd on Time wrap can be used.

and there is no Problim with Problim :)

Solo every time on a pvp geared warrior, just enraged regen if you need to or if you're undergeared just kill a mob and victory rush Problim when needed. And like someone else said, problim solved lol.

Did not get any credit for helping to kill him in a group. Then killed him myself several times - still no credit. Funnily enough after killing about 15 crocs for another quest, no crocs hide. So it appears that despite quests given to me, I cannot complete them. Any ideas ?

The problim was that I did not leave the party after the Tol Barad battle :)

Has Problim been re-tuned? 371 (PvP) Arcane mage, routinely killed Problem solo, easily. Now, the past week, I can't get him down solo. Nothing about me or this toon has changed; has Problim changed?

Yes, you must drop from the raid group to get credit.

Solo'd as arcane mage, 359 Item Level. Didn't take any damage. Used mirror image, mana shield and time warp. I doubt I needed the time warp. I won't use it next time. Don't let him get in melee distance.

As a non-raiding balance druid I have always had a problem soloing Problim. I always got him down, but he got the best of me before I could finish him off.

Now, with patch 5.0, I was finally able to defeat him. I should note that I have Feline Swiftness, Incarnation, and Renewal as talents that were helpful, and Glyph of the Moonbeast.

A Huge Problem

You have been asked to kill Problim, a giant ettin that roams the paths of Tol Barad.

Description

We finally capture this godforsaken rock and then we find out that there is a huge ettin roaming around, taking out our sentry patrols!

<name>, I need you to round up a few friends and take that ettin down. We can't have a beast like that roaming around, wreaking havoc.

Stay alert, reports from the front say that he is carrying a huge tree as a weapon, and he is not afraid to use it.
