If someone has recently killed him, be prepared for a wait. He has a fairly long respawn timer on him.

He's not in the Mage Tower (the one with the sadisticly-architected interior rampways); he's in the watchtower (the one with the single spiraling staircase).

High level hunter... get rid of your pet, if you don't get a shot in, you don't get credit for the kill...

Respawn is now very fast...

Here's what's weird, my mage character went to the top of the tower and of course we know he wasn't there, so I wanted to slow fall down and started up my spell.... welp, it didn't stop, ever! In fact I stayed in the spell cast stance, and could run around at the same time, BUT my running was sped up tremendously. Which of course I wanted to show and share with others since it looked so silly to be in casting stance and running around in fast forward... but alas nobody was around.
Has anyone else experienced anything weird there, or this effect at all, or anywhere for that matter?

Make sure to stand with your back right against the railing around the stairwell when you engage him. This will prevent him blinking to a position behind you every few moments in the fight.

Speak with Magus Bisp atop the mage tower in Hearthglen.

Description

Magus Bisp is one of Hearthglen's most preeminent arcanists. To imagine that he would be interacting with gnolls... and dabbling in necromancy? Unthinkable.

You'll find him atop the tower near Hearthglen's main gate. Hopefully he'll have an explanation for all of this. If not, well... I wouldn't go to the top of that tower unprepared, <name>.
