after you get it, walk back to the very center of the temple of earth

she should be right there..

kill her, short cinematic, and .. hand in :)

My quest bugged and I was in the wrong phase...there was nobody in the room. I logged out and back in and then the room was in chaos and she was there.

You might find this quest is bugged - in that she doesn't appear. To correct this simply go outside the temple, mount up and fly away a bit in order to break the phasing. Come back in, land, and you should be greeted by a scene of chaos.

Move out of the blue circlues she casts on the floor, and use the pillars to break LOS when she casts a Shadowbolt Volley.

Worth mentioning if you want to sell something the place doesn't unphase after you win. So either fly to the follow up quest or fly out and fly back in.

Her Shadowbolt Volley never hit me. She seems to teleport herself out of LoS before casting it. Even when I tried finding her so that I could see how much damage it would cause, I absolutely could not find her.

You have less than a second to loot her before the cinematic occurs, and her corpse disappears.

So I've done this quest twice now and I still can't figure out how Maruut dies.

He's at 100% health, channeling away... then the cutscene occurs with the pillar restored... and then he's gone. Dead. Vanished. No longer existing and the other shaman's like "He would have wanted to die like this."

I am confused.

I never even saw the cut scene.. it didnt show up.. just the quest complete and quest turn in... now im wondering what i missed lol

I only appear to get one shot at this. I spent a while searching place for her, only to find her near-dead next to the original quest-giver. Shot her with a few arrows but didn't get the credit. The elementals/twilight cultists are still here and not going away, even after abandoning quest.

I had problems with this quest as a hunter (lvl 85), I think I got too much aggro on her in p1 (before she turns into an elemental) and in p2 I couldn't drop aggro so I kited her to the rooms on the sides... and then the quest bugs. So stay in the main room at all times or the quest will bug.

This quest is close to if not the final quest in the zone.

As a note, once you complete this quest, the Temple of Earth will remain in its "battle" state until you complete the final quest, The Stone Throne.

This means the portals to Stormwind and Orgrimmar will be unavailable, so if your Hearthstone is set to Deepholm and you have no other teleport spells, you will be stuck in Deepholm. In this case, just complete The Stone Throne, take the portal from Therazane's Throne back to the Temple and it will be restored to normal.
