Dunno if this is something that just started in 4.3, but I am unable to interact with Pelturas to turn in the quest.

After speaking with a Game Master, he/she said that they are aware of the issue. Apparently, one player can turn in the quest but all players after that cannot. The GM reset him for me so that I could turn it in.

I made an account here just so I can share this with you guys, lol.

I had exactly the same problem.. And I waited for a GM to respond on my ticket for 3 days...

But when I read the former comment, a friend of me went on his Horde char and killed it.. So it "resets". P.S. It spawns back very fast. :)

So, just let a Hordie kill it, and you can deliver your quest.
However it needed to be killed again for me to get the other quests from him.

Made it able for me to complete the Loremaster!

@Snoops. You beat me dude. Did exactly the same thing yesterday because of that post you saw as well.

Get a friend who has a lvl 40 horde or higher to kill the the quest acceptor P. Whitemoon. When Whitemoon re-spawns, you will be able to turn in the quest. Then have your friend kill Whitemoon again to accept the next quest. After that, the rest of the quest chain is fine and not bugged. Cheers!

(hopefully you will not have to do this as they are applying a HUGE update right now to 4.3, but just in case, here is how you beat it)

definitely bugged as of patch 4.3

the problem is, not only you can't complete Orendil's Cure, the followup is blocked too.

the only thing that worked for me was asking a Horde friend to kill the npc. he will respawn immediately and you will be able to interact with him.

my friend had to kill him twice, the first time I could turn in "Orendil's Cure", the second to let me accept "Elune's Tear"

It's been probably ninja-fixed just now, because five minutes ago I couldn't turn in the quest, and now I can, and he gives the follow-up just fine.

The hotfix on 12/20 is listed as fixing this bugged questgiver but I don't have any way of verifying (sans levelling up a fresh character that is).

I can hereby report that as of 10:39 pm on 12/21/11, this quest is still not fixed.

As of 11.15am 22/12/11, I was able to pick up both this quest & the Elune's Tear one. I had been able to pick up the original a few days ago but couldn't hand in. Abandoned the quest this morning then came here to look for answers :) Went back & there it was, waiting for me.

So if you already have the bugged Orendil's Cure quest in your quest log, maybe abandon & pick it up fresh

This morning I was able to hand in the quest and pick up the next one without having to abandon and reacquire the quest. I carried the cure around in my backpack for several weeks, waiting on the quest fix. I can now proceed to helping that little NPC get well, lol.

As of today I had to kill Pelturas with my horde rogue in order to progress along the quest line. So apparently this has still not been fixed.

This is definitely still bugged. It is currently 12/26/2011 and I'm standing here right now looking at the guy, there is a question mark on my mini map but none over his head and nothing happens when I click on him.

A friend hopped on her lvl 73 Undead DK and killed him for me, a sentinel shot her THROUGH THE WINDOW and killed her BUT the guy respawned almost immediately and I was able to turn in.

No Game Master was on hand to reset this (it's probably quite common for them to be ticketed about it), however, after daily attempts to resume the quest line I came back at 9am (U.K. time) on a Wednesday (28 December) and was able to hand over the cure, which, after completing the follow up, also allowed me to pick up the Dartol's Rod quest chain from Raene Wolfrunner, which starts with Dryad Delivery. Ashenvale Loremaster would not have been possbible otherwise.

It needs to be said that it was not possible for me to turn this in yesterday (27 Dec), so it was not fixed before today (if it has been). I could see it was working before I got to Pelturas because the quest marker was ghosted to indicate that he was indoors, whereas it hadn't been on my previous visits.

I can't say if this is the result of the regular reset or whether there has been a fix, but aside from downing Pelturas it may be prudent to revisit him on a Wednesday morning

I dont know if its pointless to say, but its 28/12 and still I got the same problem. I just started playing. And im empty of quests. The last quest giver didnt give me more so I dont know where to go.. Got just this quest hoping orendil will lead me to new direction

Can't verify that it's been fixed. But I had a friend on the Horde side come help me to try the idea mentioned earlier and when we got there, the question mark was already up and I was able to accept the next quest. I complained to 2 GM's about fixing it and how long it's been bugged just a few days ago. Don't know if it was my complaint or not that worked or if some Horde had come by and killed him just before I got there and he had respawned, but it was working for me at that moment. Maybe one of you could go try it out to verify it.

Well, now I can't turn in All's Well. So it must be that some Horde had come by and killed him and he respawned. I guess I'll just keep checking. There is a level 85 right behind the building so it make sure your Horde friend can handle it. Mine wasn't. :)

Edit:

Having been able to get far enough to unlock the Dartol's Rod quest chain, I was able to get the Ashvenvale Quests Achievement. So maybe they've fixed it to enough to accomplish that. It's worth a try.

As of 12/31/2011 the Quest is still Bugged for some people. Working on loremaster when I discovered the problem. Contacted a GM about the issue, who stated it was going to be fixed in the next patch. They, however, refused to reset or complete the quest for me, because in her words "I'm not going to give you something for free, without working for it". Now, I've done all the quests leading up to this, have the quest item, and have also completed all the other quests that are not being blocked. I'm glad i'm asking them to do the work for me. Going to try having a horde kill the quest giver.

Edit: Can confirm having a horde kill the NPC works and allows you to move forward.

Still not fixed as of 1-2-2012. Made a worgen druid. And got to this point. On a side not I had this quest and the quest Astranaar Bound. Orendil's Cure "suggests" to use Sentinel Avana's services for swifter traveling. Where as Astranaar Bound has you just flat out use her services. Maybe the two quests interfer with each other.

Description

<name>, now that it has been bathed in Elune's blessed light, I believe that the concoction will help the afflicted child. Please, take it to Astranaar and give it to the child's parent, Pelturas Whitemoon.

To reach Astranaar, follow the road south and then east. However, if you'd like to get there more swiftly, speak with Sentinel Avana.
