super easy quest.

head to 40,69 (sw corner)

ignore everything, make your way to that coordinate, then use your starfall (#3) when you are right on top of the big tree looking NPC named bough of corruption. It'll destroy anything you dragged along, including him (if he doesn't die right click him to manually hit him for whatever amount of HP you have left).

if you get low on HP, hit moonlight (#1) and put it on the ground right where you stand and stand in it till it heals you.

I would just like to note how amusing it is to have 20% of your HP healed every .5 seconds while in the Moonlight ability's radius, and a 20% damage buff to boot.

I think the Goddess should be present for the Deathwing encounter, if that's the kinda stuff she can pull out.

Also, given the anim for it, I really wish the Starfall one wouldn't dismount you. It's a perfect PotM replica.

Anyway, basking in epic abilities aside, this quest is fun at-level or not. I have yet to turn it in on my main simply to come back now and then. Just run through them and pop Moonlight whenever you get a few too many agro'd. You can pretty much let that burn them out, or Starfall to make it go faster. Get to the corrupted ancient, use the mass deathgrip, Moonlight+Starfall, home before dinner.

This quest was more for the sheer BAMF factor than to actually challenge. Enjoy it.

If you want to speed things up a little bit, you can enable Right Bar 1 and Right Bar 2 on the side of the screen and drag your abilities to it for the quest.

Also, I would recommend casters pick Revitalizing Wristguards as reward, as the followup quest gives Verdigris Leggings.

Very cool quest, if you're into the WoW ongoing Lore, and pretty easy to do. Just use the Tidal pull to pull small armies of mobs to you, then blast them with your Starfall.

Leaving Gnarlpine Hold will remove the buff and the abilities you have, but you will receive them upon entering again.
It's a shame it doesn't stick with us =( these buffs are fun, even if a lil bit underpowered at 85.

I love having the crescent moon over my head. I've seen other people with it - do they just never turn this in, or is there some other thing that gives the same crescent overhead?

Your healing spell (#1) only has a 6-second cooldown on it, so even if you get attacked when your Starfall (#3) is just starting its 30-second cooldown, you can easily heal yourself often enough to stay alive until it's available again.

If you do this at level, you may look at it and think there's no way you're not going to die when groups of mobs come at you constantly. No worries. Just keep healing yourself (and pet, if any) until your Starfall is available again. Pull everything to you with your "Tidal Pull" (#2) and then watch them all drop immediately when you begin to cast Starfall.

Use the powers granted to you by Tarindrella to fight your way to the Heart of Corruption and destroy it.

Description

As Teldrassil purges itself of the corruption that has perverted its growth for all of these years, a malevolent growth has formed near the tree's edge, south of here. We have an opportunity to strike out and purge the source of the fel moss that has tainted the gnarlpine, the timberlings, and everything else.

With the water that you've collected from the moonwells and the renewed strength of Teldrassil herself, I can grant you great power for a short while. Put an end to this corruption, <name>.
