He is located at about 52,48.

He has a frontal fire attack and is casting fear on the aggroholder (MT?). The fear has a casting time, so you can use bezerker rage to avoid it.

Everyone who has either a dot or an ranged instant attack should be able to solo this guy. It might take ages, but even as a fire mage, he was a cake walk. Just keep running, he's really slow, so you can even stop and scorch a few times, but just keep his attention with fireblasts, and he'll go down eventually.

Don't bother getting a full group with a tank and healer(s). Uvuros hits druid in caster for 2k+, and has other evil attacks, like AoE fire breath and it repeatedly fears the tank. No matter how good healer you have, someone is going to die when your tank is feared and Uvuros single-clawedly kills the others. It's also immune to roots, fear and probably other similar crowd control spells.

*Instead* get casters/ranged in group. Preferably get a feral druid to make initial aggro with Starfire+Moonfire. The druid should then cat (speed bonus makes things easier) and start pulling Uvuros around by spamming faerie fire. Others can carefully throw DoTs while making sure not to get aggro.

My group pulled Uvuros all the way to front of Sanctum of the Stars (you may want to clear the mobs on the way if you pull him there). Took 5-10 min in total (some people died after getting aggro, but came back to res and fight), and the reward makes it worthwhile. ^_^

The usual tank/spank works just fine too, just dress up your tank in some FR gear. Or spam heal. Either works. :)

Had a lock in the group and kited him all the way to wildhammer, in the meantime had a rogue in back doing his stuff and the lock was casting spells all the way, when we got to wildhammer he was half dead and everyone else in camp helped us, was rather easy but the guy fears and you run into the fields with the monsters

Wildhammer guards will not aggro onto Uvuros even when he does his AoE attacks, so you're on your own for kiting this guy.

If you're bored enough to kite him to Shattrath, A'dal will aggro on him when he AoEs but he has absolute junk for HP so Uvuros will wipe the floor with him.

Unless you take the really long way around it's not possible to kite him down the road to Shattrah. He'll evade and reset once he hits the first bridge.

Me and a shadowpriest kited him to Shattrath. He wasted a'dal. I didn't have the quest at the time, so I don't know if he was lootable.

Realy easy to solo as a level 70 resto shaman. Searing totem and heal . No need for kiting, he hits like a little baby.

Uvuros was easily duel boxed by me, playing a Shadow Priest and a Prot Paladin.
Had FR aura up on the Paladin, only needed to heal him once.

Tips-

You can out-range his fear.
Have melee DPS stand behind him to avoid his Double Breath.
Double Breath can be avoided if the tank runs away as soon as Uvuros starts casting it.
Take off your Second Sight helmet, the Knights of Karabor like to find you when you kill him.

Yes, arms warrior can solo it too. No potions. S3 gear.
Shield block spamming revenge, Shield wall, Retaliation, Bladestorm, Execute.

solo'd 73 ret palidan, random ret kara gear and some wrath quest rewards (one or two) and 72 eng epic goggles; SotM + JoL+consec, couple of flash/holy heals, gift of naaru, a saronite bomb; toward the end, he might have frenzied, so I had to bubble and LoH... not sure if it was worth the 13g, 15800, and the two arcane dust =)

just soloed as a 69 dk, used 2 pots and it was an extremely tough fight. I died twice so my advice is unless your in epics or past 70 dont try this, he hurts.

This guy still hits hard at 80, especially when you don't have very good gear.

Solo'ed as lvl 80 feral druid. In Cat form this quest is still suicide, the flame breath will take you out too fast.
In bear form, I got him down fairly easy though.

17.6K health, 22K armor, 20% dodge, 3000 ap, 410 defense, in bear form. And no, for a lvl 80 bear that's not very good. When he got me down to about 50% health I jumped out and casted renew and rejuvenate on myself, then back in bear and finished him off. Gear's a mix of WotLK quest and rep rewards, mostly greens, a couple of 187 blues, most gear lower level than that.

Easily soloed as not very well-geared enh shammie. Spirit wolves, fire ele, tremor totem. He hardly got my health down at all. Took about two mins to bring him down...

I Killed him on my level 67 Warlock with Demo spec. Use Corruption, and just spam Health Funnel :P.

I tried soloing this on my Level 67 frost mage,3 failed attempts and i'm still trying as we speak!His running speed is faster than normal walking speed so my snares barely made any difference in the fights.

Just solo'd as a 69 BM Hunter. 3rd times a charm! Tried first with spawn of Uvuros even with Ancient Hysteria. Second time with a devilsaur....didn't work. Then use a boar to tank. Just kept Mend Pet up and shot a couple explosive traps, snake traps(not sure why). Even when my pet died Uvuros was at 5%, I was at around 40-50% health but he hits hard and he just hit me with fear. Turned around and spammed Arcane Shot. Very close but glad to see him down.

Soloed as a Enhancement Shaman 67 with not-very-good gear. Easy? No. I died two times before succeding. Here's the tactics I used if someone wants to make it too:

• Totems: Earth Elemental, Fire Elemental, Healing Stream and Windfury.
• Maintain the Earth Elemental's and yours HP above 40%, so if you get feared, no one dies (I forget about that on the second time).
• Don't use Tremor Totem! Yes, I've forgotten about the Earth Elemental and done it (that was the first time I died).
• Bring a mana potion, a super mana potion if you can.
• Set your focus on the Earth Elemental, so you can keep an eye on its HP.
• Don't spam your Healing Surge, instead of it, wait until your Maelstrom's Weapon get 3~4 charges or your mana will run out quickly. Only use two times in a roll if it's really necessary.
• Don't forget about your trinkets, shamanistic rage and racial abilities, they really help. (I've forgotten and I'm certain that if I used I'd killed it more easily)

Soloed as a 75th level warrior with iffy questing greens - died - twice, despite blowing all my cooldowns the second time and a potion. I'll go back when I've tooled up and not before.

Solo'd today on my 67 hunter with full heirlooms and Outlands quest gear. Sent my bear in to tank him, used Mend Pet as often as I could and just made sure not to take aggro away from my pet. Pet never got below 50% health. Used Serpent Sting, Arcane Shot, Kill Command and Bestial Wrath. Surprisingly easy, only took one attempt (guess that's the power of heirlooms!).

Easy solo as 68 Demo Warlock. Send in Voidwalker, spam Health Funnel, use Corruption and Bane of Doom.

Thought I would give it a whirl with my beastmaster hunter (lvl 67, no heirlooms). Used my crab tank pet, kept mend pet on constantly. Fight lasted long enough to use Beast Within twice. Note to hunters, stay at a distance to avoid the fear. :X

Soloed 1st try with my 67 prot pally on 10-25. Had to LoH and manage my heals carefully but it was fairly easy otherwise. Avenger Shield is great for stunning breath. The only notable gear that I have is tanking heirloom head, cape, and legs. All other gear came from quests, most from Nagrand.

Just took down this guy as charm with my 67 Monk. He killed me for the first time. Then I created 3 healing spheres around the area of combat and started with Touch of Karma, then gave him bursts of Spinning Fire Blossoms. Picked up spheres when my HP came to about 30% or lower. Yes, and of course don't forget Expel Harm and Chi Wave, they sure will be needed - I used both like 2 times to keep my HP up somehow. Finish him with Touch of Death asap.

For a post MoP comment, finished this quest today with a 69 BM Hunter and 69 Demo Lock, both in full heirlooms. This could be easily solod by either class 67-69. Send in the pet, dot him up and keep your distance since he fears on occasion. Keep the pet healed and the dps coming. Cake.

couldnt solo as 68 fire mage and ive good gear looms and all from diff character on account. used mirror image and potions but no luck

As of 5.4, soloed as a 67 Frost DK with quest/dungeon greens/blues, though I had to burn Purgatory. The secret is to save your death runes for Death Siphon when you get low, keep up diseases to Plague Leech, run around to avoid fire, and use Death Strike to keep your health up. Death Siphon is what makes this easy for DKs, abuse it.

Description

Wanted - DEAD:

Uvuros, scourge of Shadowmoon Valley.

By order of Thane Yoregar, the fel beast, Uvuros, is to be killed on sight and his mane stripped from his carcass as proof of deed. Return the fiery mane of the beast to Warcaller Beersnout should you succeed.

Uvuros was last seen at the Hand of Gul'dan, located in the heart of Shadowmoon Valley - northeast of Wildhammer Stronghold.
