I easily beat him as a 23 Rogue, with a 21 Druid Just Clear room, kill any pat that comes your way, and slaughter. Hell, I didn't need to kill anything else, just Stealth all the way to the end.

If you are boosting this boss for certain loot:

After last boss there is hole to jump down into a pool. Take your friend to wait there and then pull this boss nearby the hole, so when you kill it up there your friend will get the loot in group loot/ml.

This boss has great twink drops, and he is soloable for a lvl 19 twink, but u get over 1500 exp for killing him, so u better got a high level boosting u.

But if u are far from level u can simpely stealthrun this boss (if u have a rogue twink) Have a pot ready and popp evaison and it's no problems.

The great mail boots he drops are really good but i have killed him about 8 times and i have never gotten the boots....strange how its his most common loot but yet i have never got them.

PROTIP:
For ultra-fast and safe boosts, let your buddy wait near the instance portal, hugging a corner in the right wall to get as close to Serpentis' area as possible. Turn master loot on, and sprint to Serpentis yourself. When you reach him, get him to follow you to a point at the left wall as close to your buddy as possible. If you kill him there, your buddy will be elegible for the loot and can obtain the item if you Master Loot it to him.
You can achieve Serpentis drops under 5 minutes this way :)

There are 3 Bosses in Wailing Caverns that can be easily looted by using Master Looter mode. The first is Lady Anaconda. Come into the instance and head out of the first tunnel into the open area with the "ditch" and where you can go left/right/forward. Have your high level kill the raptors, crocodiles, and roaming druids to allow you to go forward into the ditch. Make sure the ditch is cleared both left and right of crocodiles and oozes. Have your high level go run around the level above you to Lady Anaconda. She can spawn in about 3 locations but they are all close to the ditch. Just move left or right in the ditch to get as close as you can and have the friend kill her and loot the drop to you.
Next boss is Lord Cobrahn. Go West (or as you enter the ditch....Left) down the ditch killing a crocodile or two. You will come to a large room with a croc or two in it. Kill them. There will be a winding path up to Lord Cobrahn. Have your friend run up the spiral to him and stand with his back to the cliff facing Cobrahn. You move directly below him hugging the cliff wall. Now he attacks and pulls Cobrahn over to the cliff edge (he will probably be in Serpent form by that time) and kill him. He loots the drop to you.
The last boss is Serpentis. As stated above you can head back to the entrance area or head to where the "bail off well" is located. Have your friend kill him and master loot to you. Don't mind the big turtle Kresh as he wanders in the ditch unless you need a nice shield which he drops.
Wailing Caverns is one of the few instances which can be master looted so easily. The other that comes to mind is the rare spawn undead warrior in Shadowfang Keep which can be looted from the instance portal.

Was ready to throw my monitor last night, had master loot on and was exploiting the little pool that I had my level 22 Hunter friend waiting in...Mutanus dropped Living Root 6/9 runs in a row, this guy dropped the footpads twice and Savage Trodders the other seven times.

No Venomstrike.

Most I've ever had to run this instance for that bow is five times. The first time I ever went through it on my Orc Hunter, however, I got it.

It's not a very difficult run for a 50 cat druid at obviously, and Lady Anacondra usually spawns near the beginning so you might get that Belt of the Fang for whoever you're running while you run in and out of the instance.

Finding him was the biggest pain that I have ever experienced in the first 2 or so months of play of WoW for me.

Like this person says here (http://www.thedruidsgrove.org/wow/forums/showthread.php?t=11652), once you enter the main instance, head the shallow water path to the right. Go a long distance through the cave, all the way until you reach a dead end, where you have to take a jump to get to the other side. The clevage is very narrow and so you could easily overlook and fall. After that is straight up to Lord Serpentis.

obviously the drop rate for the gem isn't 28%, if you have the quest it is 100%

To all lvl 19 twink rogues:

Skum and Lord Serpentis can be soloed with ease.

For Skum just stealth to his gated area and wait for the patrolling "Evolving Ectoplasm" to make his round. He oozes right by Skum and theres no way you can solo both at the same time. It usually doesn't take any longer than 2-5 mins to pass by. When your fighting Skum just remember to "kick", "gouge" or "arcane torrent" (for blood elves) when he starts casting his lighting bolt. He will start casting one shortly if not instantly after your first attack. Remember to use Evasion as well. Be mindful of the fact that when Skum is down to like 15-20% hp he will run from you. Try to get off a quick backstab and eviserate to finish him off so he doesn't aggro the other mobs. It's cake if you take this advice.

For Lord Serpentis your going to have to range pull him from the area on the edge of the cliff right behind him. There is a serpant mob flying next to him on the left that will aggro if you just attack. His first attack will be a lighting bolt so if you have arcane torrent (blood elves) the best way to do this is by hitting him with it from a couple yards away so hes silenced and has to melee you. I assume that you could gouge from far enough away also but I haven't tried it. He heals himself so try to interupt him while at the same time attempting to keep his lighting bolts interupted as well using the same abilities mentioned in the Skum strat of course. EVASION! Both fights are pretty easy if you do these things.

(Come to think of it, the wailing caverns do look like the chamber of secrets)

This guy, like most of the other wailing caverns bosses before the cataclysm, used to be near-impossible to find. I remember wandering around WC randomly looking for bosses because it was so difficult to navigate.
