I think this is a very welcome change, surprised they didn't do this at the start of the xpac, woulda been a lot better imo.Better late than never!
They always make it easy for returning players, but those that started out and put the time in grinding the 'regular' way gets no reward, we actually got punished by having to live through these changes.Changes are good and it's great they make something for returning players, but at the same time, they need to start rewarding people either with achievements or titles that were there from the start. I believe we might have gotten an achievement, so how about some kind of something to show we were there and had to put up with this bs from one patch to the next. Heck even a yellow hat would do the trick for me! :)
Im triggered, all those work orders on alts I dont play just for them to get it for free.
I knew AK50 was going to be used later.
I'm wondering what happens to alts that reach 110 after this. Will they start at AK 40? If it takes 40 weeks to reach AK level 40, that would be insanely dumb when we can currently spend 1,000 resources to instantly reach AK40 on the live servers. Most of my alts are max level and AK40, so I don't really care for me, but I can see where people would be pretty upset about that.
Are the percent multipliers the same as the old AK 41-50? It never made sense at the time for blizzard to so suddenly limit what we could get in 7.2 given the obvious exponential scaling of concordance. And yes I know the 50th point concordance point was never intended to be earned within the lifetime of the expansion and probably not until the end of the next. But it just seemed to be a really odd game decision to throw players. Odd since effectively no progression on player power on Argus, in terms of concordance, would occur given the limited nature of AK40. Unless they introduced items that have greater base value or them reintroducing AK 41-50.Besides what is the expected concordance rank for regular people running mythic anyways? I only got my 5th trait awhile ago and decided to play my alts more. Not to mention work and school haven't allowed much free time this past month.
My guess? Players after legion will be at max AK sub 110, this will allow them to max their artifact faster and progress through the content quicker.
As someone with too many alts, I hated the Artifact Knowledge system.Always felt like a waste to do Legion content on an alt until my main had full research so I could send the books.
So just 110s? Or ALL characters 100+?I'm not even mad about the change, but 9 weeks to get AK 50? I dunno, I guess it would have taken almost that long if it had stayed done the way it is now. (For fresh 110s and not those who had already maxed theirs out on someone else and were able to send the books to alts)
Cool, so it's even slower than the old system. ~Excitement.~
looks fine, lets see how it works :)
I always get a chuckle ( or LoL) whenever I read about players getting upset with cathup mechanics. If the ONLY thing you did for all these months was to just sit and level up your AK then you probably wasted your time. But then again, why are you even playing this game?AK leveling and many other things are part of the ongoing "current" content. The whole game fights, outdoors and instanced, are designed and balanced based on that progress. You were just playing the game as intended and now be happy that returning players will be able to join with you but remember they missed on all the funs of many months of all aspects of the game which included leveling up your AK and much more.
What about Argus? Will it uncover one mob/npc per week to keep us busy and waiting? Seriously, Blizzard, if I would like to play a waiting or idle game, there is a plenty of them. IMHO, this is the worst strategy ever. It is killing the motivation to play.
