6.1 PTR: New Darkmoon Faire Race, Toys, and Changed Heirloom Prices

New Darkmoon Faire Game: RacingWelcome to the Darkmoon RacesThe Real Race

Pick up sprint boosts, which also let you walk on water (useful for reaching the blue post faster).

Jump on bouncy gears to leap forward--make sure you are angled the right way so you don't go off in the wrong direction.

Use the special Jump To Banner button, on a 10 second cooldown, to leap to the nearest banner and be immune to electrical wires for a few seconds.

Avoid the electrical wires which stun you.

Rewards for the Darkmoon Faire Race

Big Powermonger: Gold, for using a Powermonger, rewards Darkmoon Cannon. This shoots you out of a cannon and lets you fly for a minute.

Big Wanderluster: Gold, for using a Wanderluster, rewards a Darkmoon Gazer. This item is quite similar to Eye of Kilrogg and lets you scout out dangerous areas.

Big Rocketeer: Gold, for using a Rocketeer, rewards a Race MiniZep Controller. This teaches the battle pet Race MiniZep.

Big Race Roadhog, for using a Racing Strider, rewards a Checkered Flag. This increases mount speed by 30% for 10 minutes.

Powermonger: Gold, for using a Powermonger, rewards a Gaze of the Darkmoon toy. This puts a Darkmoon Faire marker over someone's head.

Wanderluster: Gold, for using a Wanderluster, rewards an Attraction Sign. This places down a blinking arrow, similar to the ones used as decorations around the Faire.

Rocketeer: Gold, for using a Rocketeer, rewards an Everlasting Darkmoon Firework. This is a permanent version of Darkmoon Firework, a firework with the Faire logo.

Darkmoon Racer Roadhog, for using a Racing Strider, rewards a Fire-Eater's Vial. This sets your breath on fire, like many of the Darkmoon Faire NPCs.

Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing is sold for 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket which upgrades an heirloom armor item to 1-90.

Ancient Heirloom Scabbard is sold for 120 Darkmoon Prize Ticket which upgrades an heirloom weapon item to 1-90.

Chauffeured ChopperRewards for Older Games

Ace Tonk Commander requires you to get 45 hits during the Tonk Challenge. 30 hits are required for Tonk Commander so you'll have to keep moving, spamming attacks, and avoiding Zeppelins. This rewards the Darkmoon Tonk Controller toy.

Triumphant Turtle Tossing requires you to toss 10 rings in one try during the Ring Challenge--a perfect run. The pathing of the turtle has changed in 6.1 and this comment explains how you can reliably toss the ring each time. This rewards the Darkmoon Ring-Flinger toy.

Which feels a bit pointless as according to the recent heirloom blog, both versions will scale up to 90.Comment by RaevenneSeems like it would be better to get what you want now since they'll automatically scale to 90 when the patch hits, which would be cheaper than buying after 6.1 when you'll have to spend more tickets for the item plus the upgrade part. (Unless I'm having a bad math moment... entirely possible I suppose... )Comment by perculiaIf you want to use the heirlooms, I think it would be better to get the base version now, but not upgrade them. Right now you'd pay 110 for a lvl 80 chest, which turns into a lvl 90 one in 6.1. You'd need 150 tickets in 6.1 to buy the base one and upgrade it.

DMF RACE + WaterWalk Buff

u can gank ppls while they try to race

buff/speed perks stay on you when u start the race

even without hitting any traps time is 14
so unless getting raid of priests to life grip around the course
i dont see how you can get 10 for achievement toy
