Wow, I'm gonna spend hours looking at this post. Great job on this.
And here I was, thinking of using Stoneskin Gargoyle Cape...Maybe I can find something else from here =).
Seems kinda odd to include White items in a guide meant for Transmogrification. And where's my little capes! You know, those little ones you typically get in lowbie zones that don't go past your shoulders really, so cute.
The little capes were changed to display as longer capes on our modelviewer. The white capes were included in case you really liked a newbie/starter look and wanted to replicate it on your 85.
This is amazing, kudos for going through and categorizing them all!
Wow, that's a ton of cloaks! Thanks so much for categorizing all of them for easier browsing!
Thanks for the great guide, a massive undertaking.
I just find it a shame that the Faction cloaks look awful on Tauren. The city emblem doesn't show and it shrinks in comparison to the other races. Also a pity that I'd spent a few hours locating a suitable cloak for myself last week..only for this to appear now. But it'll save time in future outfits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McAeQiLmEYU&feature=related-There are still little capes, I got one on my priest like 2 days ago.
We have listed 3-4 shorter capes under 'short triangle.' If you would like to constructively contribute with a cape you feel we have listed incorrectly, please give us the name instead of an vague anecdote.Example of how things have changed: The stickied screenshot for Handstitched Leather Cloak is a short cape with two points. Previewing it in-game on my toon reveals it to be rectangular and longer. Linen Cloak has a stickied screenshot that is short with a pointed end. In game, it is longer and rectangular. This is an old version of the Reinforced Linen Cape, which is now rectangular and longer.Anyway, you get my point.
What a cool feature! Too bad I play a Draenei and therefore can't use capes because they always look horrible.
Absolutely amazing guide, only thing I would love to see is some form of colour catagorising so I don't have to open 264871264817268 tabs each time I choose a cloak, hahaha!
wow i am actually disappointed at how limited my choices are between obtanebility and the look of the cape i am only left with a hand full of choices
My hopes were bolstered to see the excellent Gnomeregan Drape (and equivalent hordie rubbish) on your list. Does this mean they can be used in transmogrification? Given your comment above, I would guess it's just there for completeness, but...I know I've asked before - I don't think anyone actually tried it as I requested, though.
Thanks a ton for this guide!
Permafrost Cape is the only cloak texture I'll ever truly love, as such...Thanks for reminding me of it. Shame there's no alternative to it's red counterpart though... shame...
great job on doing this! love it <3
Great guide! How hard would it be to put in the "Solid with Border" section some color selection? Kind of like: Blue, Red, Gold, Green, etcI am looking for a long blue cloak to match this set: Conqueror's Turalyon's Plate
