HERE'S A BIG QUESTION:Will it be possible to play WoW without Cataclysm?I know, for the majority of us, not really going to be an issue, because we're going to buy it. But I know at launch of WotLK, a lot of players simply held off on buying it immediately, avoiding the initial rush to get in to Northrend, and played BC to their heart's content, until they finally got their copy of WotLK.Here's the issue... please bear with.If Azeroth is being redone completely, would it even be playable until you get Cataclysm installed even? Imagine.... you're waiting for your copy of Cataclysm and you're looking forward to playing all the new content! In the meantime, you go to your computer, hop on, and log in only to find....you can't even play WoW (which you HAVE paid for) because all the old stuff, is no longer supported. So, while you're waiting for your copy of Cataclysm.... you're stuck twiddling your thumbs? It's a very real possibility. Unlikely (I hope), but a possibility. What's Blizzard's plan in regards to this? Anyone know?

You will be able to access whatever Old World you had previously had access to - Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Outland, Northrend. Yes, all that content will be changed to some extent, but you will get to play it. What you won't be able to access are the new zones (both in the Old World, like Uldum, and the new zones), and the Cataclysm-specific features, like new races, archeology, Mastery (?) and so on. I hope that clears it.

intresting stuff, checking out some screens of the lost isles, I just knew they reminded me of something, and now I remembered what was it.......http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100412191623/wowwiki/images/2/2c/River.jpg screenshot of the lost isles in World of Warcraft Cataclysm......http://www.rotpod.net/rotpod/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/farcry_2.jpg screenshot of the paradisiac trigen infected island on farcry :PI knew I had seen an ambience similar somewhere else........here's another comparison.......http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100417205423/wowwiki/images/9/93/LostIslesA.jpg another screen of the lost islands.....http://aikun.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/far-cry-21.jpg another screen of the farcry trigen island........it's awesome that we finnaly get that island in wow :P I happen to be a huge fan of farcry (too bad the sequel sucks so much) and I loved those jawdropping scenarios shown in there.....also I've noticed that the leveling path in cataclysm is a bit smaller than in other expacs......on TBC; you enter hellfire at 58, leave at 60-61, enter in zangarmash, leave it at 64, from there you can go to terrokkar till 66, and then to nagrand or blade's edge till 68, then netherstorm or shadowmoon till 70... (it also included 4 extra areas, 2 for draenei, 2 for bloodelves)on WOTLK you go to borean tundra or howling fjord at 68, and leave at 70-71, from there go to dragonblight and stay there till 74, then move to grizzly hills till 76, from this point you can choose to either go to zul'drak or scholazar basin till 78, and finnaly to either storm peaks or icecrown all the way to 80..... (it has cristalsong where you don't level, and wintergrasp where you also don't level but rather pvp like crazy)in cataclysm, the ammount of new leveling zones is much smaller.....you go to hyjal or vash'ir at 78, and stay there till 82, then move to either deepholme or uldum till 84, and finnaly move to twillight highlands all the way to 85...... and there's the worgen starting area (gilneas), plus the goblin's 2 starting areas (kezan and lost isles) plus tol barad wich is the new wintergraspthat's it.in retrospective, it seems like a much smaller extra zones added, when compared to the other expacs.......then again I understand why, since most areas will be reworked and heavily modified, so in some cases several of the old zones will count as new zones (such as thousand needles, or eastern plagelands or desolace)still, for my main toon, this expac won't have as much sight-seeing as the others had, but for my alts it's like a completely new world :Pfunny aint it?
