True, some playable races would not exist without the Titans. But some would not have existed without the Void and the Curse of Flesh. Lightforged would not have existed without the LIght. Orcs, as we know them, not without Fel. Forsaken not without Death. Life is less explicit, but it seems like races like Tauren and Pandaren were formed by it.Regarding us/players not being affected by fate - I don't like that for narrative reasons. It was a big point in D3 with the nephalem. Rehashing it here seems inappropriate. What I like better is the idea suggested upthread, that the major forces exist outside of time, and thus inherently can only see their victories and not their defeats. Finally, beware when you read of history, for it is often written by the victor.

"That said, it was not their intention to make this happen, as we learned from interviews."I dont understand this last part. First he describes how the first ones prepared the gateways and predicted our coming and all that, but then he goes on to say that the devs only meant for it to be shown as one of the multiple possibilities that the first ones prepared for. But the first part he describes completely fulfills that last intention? Just because we are shown the gateways and us being predicted doesn't mean that was the only thing they predicted. They could have prepared for multiple other possibilities at the same time. So the devs vision WAS fullfilled though is my point. There is nothing in game that tells us the gateways were the only preparation they madeLet me make an example. I see that you put out the plates for dinner. My reaction is "omg I can't believe that you only prepared one thing". Meanwhile what actually happened is you put out the plates for dinner and also marinated the chicken. I just didn't notice that last part. That's what I feel happened to nobbel here
