Argentsun, what I personally do is create a search keyword for "wh" linking to:http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=%sSo when I type in "wh potato" in the URL bar, my browser immediately goes to:http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=potatoThis is the quickest way to search wowhead of all. It works in both firefox and Chrome.
This is probably a no-brainer but I'm bringing it up just because I don't see it in the screenshots - still going to have a search window in the upper right? It's funny, I work on a very high traffic website for a living and personally, I never use the search window on that site because I know it so well and have my own way of reaching the content I need to get to. That said, I know our users gravitate to the search window - either because we could be doing better in our navigation or because users prefer that when they are looking for something specific. Like them, I prefer the search window on Wowhead when I know the name of the quest, NPC, or item I'm coming to look up. I use the top nav only when I want to filter my results or when I don't have a precise name for what I'm looking for.
Just please don't make it like the new Hearthhead site design.
Just don't go too crazy. For mobile, Overking became practically unusable after its redesign and hearthhead is useable, but annoying and buggy.
I like the old version better, personally.
add the localization in spanish of esMX currently default is esES from spain and booth localization are diferent add a option for esMX please
It's something we can consider. We've had some requests for a 'favorites' system and we're trying to find ways to make it more robust than an alternative to your browser bookmarks. Letting you select tags you're really interested in for notifications or a personalized feed could be interesting.
Looks fantastic, major kudos to the design team! I can hardly wait for it to be implemented!
Could you add more filtering options for sound? You cannot filter sounds by patch or expansion.
Is there a link to "current consolidated PTR notes?"
Keep in mind people when suggesting things, that the thing you are looking for should be accessed in no more than 3 clicks for easy navigation. Can we possibly update the mobile site too? Its really hard to use drop down menus on a phone where you cant view much. Also, i have to scroll really far to read everything in the article or to search for an article that was posted earlier in the day. perhaps have a wowhead app instead?
Any chances of supporting wider screen resolutions?Forcing the site to run in mobile or tablet mode will fill width-wise on much wider resolutions.Would like to see this on the default "desktop" mode.
As long as it doesn't change to look as bad as hearthhead.
