Always enjoy some quality T&E content
That's all great news. Maybe I was under a rock the week it was announced that Chris was back to making us all proud, really glad to hear it. Months ago I heard someone complaining something about dream surges, like the gear on world events are too easy to get or some nonsense, but if it is only champion track gear it equates to catch up gear or transmog. There can't be any problematic issue where it competes with ratedpvp M+ or Raid content. Players on main characters are already geared now higher than open world content could provide benefits for the rest of the expansion but, easy item level gains for alts is always welcome, and is a nice surprise for new players if they aren't at the sweaty highest difficulty content skill level yet. Great video!
I really hope 11.0 is a Metzen expansion. Say what you want about his lore, but WoW went off the rails after he left.
nice roundup video, Tali and Bell are probably the two creators left who keep me excited about wow
Thanks for the update on Chris Metzen. I was so please to firstly see him take time off and do a few things outside of Warcraft - such a positive thing to do to take time out for yourself no matter how important you or others think you are. Good message. And brilliant to see he has found is passion again and those who he left behind to welcome him back.Absolutely NO similarity to Mythic Quest at all !
I'm relatively optimistic about all this. Metzen seems like a strong anchor for the spirit of WoW, and Ion and Danuser have built up fresh reserves of good will with me for how great Dragonflight has been so far. Hopefully the dynamic between those at the top will prove to be a winning combo for what lies ahead.
Thank god someone is there to teach Danuser how to write
This all comes down to perceived likability. Metzen is well liked by the fanbase. It is what it is. You can explain till you're blue in the face how the writing works, how Danuser is the face of the writing staff but it's a team collaboration, and people will continue to lash out at him because they simply find him unlikable.
I only watched this because I was genuinely interested in the Chris Metzen gossip, and despite Taliesin's usual attempts to protect Blizzard Staff sources via obfuscation of "putting things together", he clearly has the access to gossipy staff, for better or for worse. The framing of all of it was ridiculous of course, I just wanted to know what Metzen had been up to.There are several things about this budget Phillip Schofield Soapbox presented like news that irritates me. Even today, we still get the constant referral to contemporary (and not so-much) social issues through a lens of an activist who's had one to many frappucinos today. Out of nowhere: "Katie Hopkins is a racist" etc etc, and I still find the contrived so-called "SA" thing with Alexstrasza a projection of smut fan-fiction in this new age of internet puritans, rather than anything problematic Chris Metzen wrote.I am glad Chris Metzen is back, at least because his world building offers a kind of gravitas to offset the high-pitched fish-slapping flowery delivery of Taliesin. The jester has been in court for too long, and the castle is in disrepair. Time to bring back the things that made the world what it was in the first place, and the reasons we're all here.Needs more Metzen.
Next year (2024) is WoW's 20th anniversary. If it's timed with the next expansion, I wonder if an old-world revamp is a possibility. All the pieces seem to be in place - the war's over, allied races are pretty easy to obtain, possibly new starting zones for the Night Elves and Worgen (depending on how the Dragonflight storyline pans out with the new world tree). It'd be interesting but I don't know how Blizz would attract older players to go back and start over from scratch again.Although a full inventory, gold and level wipe for all characters would be a pretty brutal approach to it. Funny though.
Are people still watching these bullies?
I'm really hoping WoW.11 is the Big Naaru Fight Expansion.Have it turn out the Naaru (Or at least a majority of them) were plotting something behind the scenes and decide that now is the perfect moment to make their move, only for something to throw a wrench in their plan. Among the things I would like to see are.- Updated Starting Zones for all the Classic/Burning/Cata races.- Ether a new Continent or even a New Planet to Explore.- A new Race for the Horde and Alliance who have to do with the new setting. If we're talking New Continent maybe the Tuskar become playable. If a new Planet, Maybe an Avian species with similarities to the Japanese Tengu. Ether way I wanna see a Hobbit-like race become playable that's not Gnomes.- I wanna see a new Regular Class & Heroic Class. Tinkerer would be a good class to make playable. I know most consider Bard to be a silly concept, but a class that uses Sound Based Magic could be an interesting concept.- A new specialization for each classes. Ideas include:--- Necromancer Death Knights who use Minions to Tank.--- Packmate Hunter who Tanks alongside their Pet.--- Temporal Mage who uses Time Magic to heal/Support.--- Shadow-Pan Monk who uses Melee AND Ranged DPS.--- Zealot Paladin who deals Area of effect damage.--- Inquisitor Priest, Intimidator Rouge, Geomancer Shaman who are all Tank.--- Rune Caster Warlock who can both tank or Range DPS.--- Blademaster Warrior who... I dunno is another Melee DPS.--- Maybe have it so only specific races can chooses these Specializations.
