Still keeping an eye out for Invincible, though the Onyxian drake is cool. The pet selection so far has been rather weak, as many Argent Tourney pets can be bought BOE from the opposite faction for only ~2k. I was hoping for some really cool things like promo/Blizzcon/CE pets. Stuff the Alar mount won't go for too much either past the first couple months, especially since you can solo it on multiple toons with account wide mounts. If the BMAH goes live with no Invincible, my plan is to 5 man Heroic LK every week with some friends using an extended 11/12 normal lockout. (you can do this every week if it was all normals)
Yay! More endless farming for stuff a player may only use once or twice. If these items are sold on the BMAH - will they become BoP? Or will the illegal gold farmers outbid everyone then turn around and sell those overbid items back on regular AH for twice as much?Me thinks BMAH is the lazy player's answer to getting stuff they don't want to actually farm months & years for.(I myself & others have farmed certain mounts & whatever for months to years - don't think I'm going to spend 10K+ gold to get something I can actually work hard for. I'd rather keep my gold in my pocket)

blizzard really wants to destory wow...
There seems to be a misconception that the BMAH is a vendor - it is not. There is a chance for any given NPC to put up an item. If they put up an item the chance that its the one you want is LOW. Then you have to see it, bid on it and continually have the highest bid.Yes you can do a fake buy-out by bidding the maximum amount if you have enough gold, but last I saw it reported, the max bid was 999,999g (1 million - 1 gold), so you can shut out the competition if you have the gold - but you have a very limited amount of times you can do that, and the "competition" can just wait for the next one.Now granted, if you are a special snowflake AND have a lot of gold, you can effectively prevent anyone else from gaining your snowflakiness - at least while your gold lasts, and thats also mission accomplished for blizzard in draining out the gold, while not making any significant impact on the population of a certain item (disregard heroic raid gear here, thats another kettle of fish entirely), and eventually the items will become available to the ones with the gold to do a regular bidding war.
I definitely have worries concerning the effect a Black Market will have on the economy. I can see gold farmers having a field day, that's for sure. Maybe if they introduced a separate currency. This could be a good way to lessen the stagnation some players experience when gearing, though. Although at that point in the game, said players are usually poor enough as is. We'll just have to see where Blizzard goes with this.
noooooooooo dont put arcanite ripper back on i feel special having 1 love the reactions i get when i bust out the guitar riff lol
This will be intresting :-)
Are the only recipe's on the BMAH to be skill lvl 600? Would love to see old Raid recipe's like the Hard Khorium Band from Sunwell on there.
I really hope everything listed is BoP or BoA, which should be since at least mounts and blue vanity stuff are.Man, there's gonna be some serious AH camping going on ... Imagine there's this rare thing you always wanted, it's 2:30 am, you have to wake up at 6, time remaining : short ... arg!edit : wonder if it will be available via the remote AH thinggie.
I will be honest and say it....this is the first thing I have seen that has actually "tempted" me to want to buy gold. Before, I always saw things that were very expensive as "wants", but not "really, really, wants". I never cared if I couldn't snatch up that BiS dagger 2 months before it became obsolete. And I always had enough of a stash of gold to keep me comfortable. Now, the BMAH is putting some of the most tempting, "gotta have it NOW!" items up for sale. I could care less for the gear...I am talking about the Ashes....the Tier 3, and things like the Ripper.....things that if you don't have them, you could spend months or years farming for a drop, or just have no other option to obtain them. And we know they are gonna be outrageous in cost. So high, that my measly 200k across all toons doesn't stand a chance.
This feels like a stupid, obvious question, but I'm guessing you can only access the Black Market AH from Pandaria? Not Dalaran or the like?
