Gotta love playing on EU servers. Twice as much the token, half the price on transmogs. I gave up paying the sub with ingame gold.
Transmog is the true endgame.
The higher the price for an item, the more time it takes to sell. The harder it is to get item, the more it sells. With how easy it is to get a character to 70 - other realms are now indirectly competing with your realm. Also getting to 70 isn't needed also, sometimes just 50 is enough (outside chromie time farming classic dungeons for example).
The problem with mog farming is everyone believes the tsm prices, which is ludicrous because they're based on your own posting prices just as much as anyone else's. An aggregate of guesses doesn't make it true, and I've learned this the hard way (its actually the easy way) by completely ignoring the "standard" prices of anything I farm/craft/sell.I'd recommend you do the same, start cheaper, not higher. If it sells, post another one for more.If it doesn't, your price was still too high.Pro Tip: If you can turn a seller into a buyer, then demand is no longer an issue.I've been exploiting the tsm "value" for years and I'm getting close to 100mil earned from auctions, all you have to do is find/craft items with a stupidly high tsm price compared to the effort/requirement and post them at a fair price instead.. the tsm andys will spam buy them with the intent to flip until they run out of gold.It works every time.Turn the sellers, into buyers.
my two cents : if it wasn't for transmog, I wouldn't still be playing and those baby dragons would have to fetch their own food and nests. Transmog gathering is my main reason for still having WoW installed. I am not a normal person and I shouldn't be viewed as one. But, for me, going to the endgame areas and doing dailies that don't grant xp isn't any fun. Once I hit max level, I play for a couple of days and then move onto an alt. That's just me. I'm grateful there aren't more cash shop tmogs in the WoW store, and the Diablo 4 ones are high enough to easily resist. Like if Roseanne Barr was a 10,000 a night call girl. Now, if they did cross promotion, where you could pay 20 bucks to make your character look and sound like LA Knight, i'd be living in a cardboard box after giving Blizzard every cent of my money. YEAH !
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but are people really paying close to 400k gold for an ugly looking stick like Caniki's Cane of Command ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
any gold making guide that has transmogs in it always seems like nothing but clickbait. "2 million gold xmog gold farm!" meanwhile nobody in those videos ever talks about how long it takes to sell transmog, if you even sell it at all. i remember finding a rare pirate hat back in bfa, it took me over 6 months to sell it.
Transmog is the TRUE endgame, and the only progress that never gets reset when a new patch/expansion comes out!
Doesn't feel worth it, I thought it was due to my server group's poor economy though. I have guild banks full of greens that won't sell even though I'm pricing good pieces super low. Some pieces I've been trying to sell on and off since BFA.
Usually, I find a set I like, and I keep that character as such, for years on end.
So, I wanted to check out how much I could make only hunting Satchels from the LFG Call to Arms as a tank and selling the Draconic Augment Rune, each satchel can drop anywhere from 1-4 runes, I have been getting lucky and getting 3 most of my runs, they go from 1500-1650 a pop, I try to sell em at least for 1600 each, additionally the satchel has 900g which is not too bad, I am only in pvp sparks epic gear, nothing too fancy (though I could prolly be better off with the rift gear), and so far I've made 223k this week, I have ONLY been logging on to do Call to Arms for a few hours here and there, I did went a little crazy during the weekend, the addon, Incentive Program does help a lot since it allows me to see what Call to Arms is up and as a Paladin I can go as a healer or tank depending on what pops up and on what difficulty, so far not bad at all, it does get a little repetitive and I would prolly be making more if I was an enchanter, skinner and whatnot, since I just mass pull stuff to the bosses in most cases.Good Luck and Happy Hunting friends.
