Very nice article. I think the worries and hopes are well-founded, and I hope this does get Blizzard's attention.
Strong article, still a weak legendary
Because when everyone's SUPER! ... No one will be.
Please make this a higher droprate. People shouldn't be trying to get it till the end of the season + crafting mats etc
But it never drops in-game . So who cares anyway.
Bad enough that plate wearers got yet ANOTHER exclusive legendary, now you’re whining that it doesn’t work for the one tank class that uses 2H?
"two months' worth of habits around just letting Mark of Fyr'alath tick in AoE"Yeeeeeah, assuming you got it 2 month ago..."The initial launch of this legendary in such a muted form blunted interest in acquiring this legendary, especially with the minimal power difference between it and other cantrip weapons."Are there cantrip weapons for plates in the raid that I don't know about?
At this point just make the on use effect instant cast...
Would be cool if you could cancel the effect. The damage is pretty much just cosmetic in PvP, but the dash could be useful.
pants on head stupid that we need an editorial about such a failed weapon lol. Blizzard please
A few things Blizz needs to decide:1) is this weapon supposed to be guaranteed? Because the drop rate is so rare but then there is bad luck protection.2) if it is supposed to be rare why isn’t there an alternative weapon for 2h wielders, such as a ‘ordinary’ shadowflame infused weapon. 3) there is a lot of extra pressure on guilds to keep killing Fyrakk for the legendary, even after all the other raiders are fed up with doing it. Causing guild tensions.4) the rarity, the mixed messages about availability, the lack of alternatives, is making it a pretty depressing experience for many.5) the fact that minor bad-luck protection only drops after getting AotC is punishing people who stay with their guild’s progress and don’t just leap ahead.
Lol this wepon is another example how sloppy and abandoned Df is, to go through this much tuning after release, and its for underpreforming lol, if it was other way around i could say well they wanted to make weapon epic so they overtuned it. Also the wepon had unkown effects pretty much untill it droped, if this was made public in beta feedback could be given sooner, but they probably didnt even think up of the effect back than. And dont even get me started on garbage rng drop system that keeps praying on leeching subs off platers just so they get the leggo.
I was looking at TLDR about the difference in AoE and ST, whether positive or negative, and I didn't see any.Can someone please explain that part of the "change" or if the numbers are still same and it's just some QoL change?
