I can't believe people are complaining that this thing costs 1000g. People can complain about anything. You aren't going to log on and 1000g is going to be removed from your account and you automatically have dual specs. If you don't want it, don't buy it and stop complaining. If you think its cheaper to pay 50g every time you respec, continue doing that. Blizzard isn't forcing you to pay for this. It is a LUXURY, not a right. Also, stop complaining about 1000g for level 40s. Oh god! How will we ever level up our characters without dual specs at level 40. No one in the history of WoW has ever leveled a character above level 40 without dual specs! Oh wait, EVERYONE DOES THAT NOW. Everyone quit your complaining. Either pay for it or don't. It's your choice. The 5-6 Sons of Hodir dailies in Storm Peaks net over 100g and take 35 minutes on a slow day. I'm spec'd as a tank and can do it in 35 minutes. All you have to do is do this one set of dailies for 10 days and you have your money. You can also DE any greens from instances and sell the enchanting mats for thousands of gold and make it that way.
Is it just me, or have the WoWhead.com forums been down for the last few days?thanks,Terrasol
Epic win or Epic fail? The change to make it level 40, no Lexicon, no cooldown, OOC cast, it Epic Win.This idea that it has to be a money sink is Epic Fail. This is trivial for veteran players and non-trivial for anyone else. Any level 80 can easily ham up 1,000 gold for their level 40 alt. Any new level 40 player will never see this money until the level 80 grind. What does this mean? More incentive for gold sellers. Not a good idea. *sigh* And raised AH prices for all.
Wow, very interesting changes coming along, for sure.I have been looking forward to dual-specs. Reading up on Holy Paladin abilities, what to gem/enchant for, saving up spellpower plate gear if everyone else passed on it...The reason I haven't re-specced and re-glyphed and all is due to the costs. I like being able to tank. I'm decently good at it, and it's become familiar. Healing with a paladin is still an unknown. I want to be able to click BACK to tank-mode if healer-mode is not what I am in the mood for. Will I be a sucky healer the first day? Quite possibly! Will I expect to run heroic naxx the first day? HECK no! Will some n00bs buy gold, pay for the dual spec then spam LFG with "Hai gyz! I can HEELz 4 U! I gits dool spec!"And royally suck, and wipe groups? I am 100% certain it will happen. It happens NOW with single spec. I have been in groups where it happened.Bottom line: The good players will still be good. The bad players will still be bad. The good players will get the chance to experience different roles and facets of the game, without the hassle of paying more gold each time, buying all new glyphs, or getting guild requests to tank, heal, or DPS while the "wrong" spec. The bad players will get added to more ignore lists. Big deal! ;-)
