Assault on Broken Shore Scenario and Unlocking New Artifact Traits in Patch 7.2

Khadgar flies you to the Broken Shore on an arcane raven.

You start by fighting on the beach and killing Legion forces there. You then run with your huge faction force up off the beach to defeat Lord Kalgorath. The run with your faction heroes to get to him feels epic!

After defeating him, you move further into the Broken Shore and close Legion portals and defeat more demons along side (for Alliance) characters like Maiev Shadowsong and Prophet Velen.

You finish this area by defeating the demon Dread Commander Arganoth.

You are then able to take the portal to the Legion ship.

Here you plant arcane bombs to destroy the ship, then fly to the command ship and plant more arcane bombs.

The scenario culminates by a defeat of the Dreadlord Mephistroth.

Hey all,

Thanks for your feedback so far on this set. I've passed it along to Team 2, and I've got a couple of things to share here.

With the launch of 7.2, the opening quest for Broken Shore, along with various Broken Shore World Quests, will reward tokens to upgrade your Class Order Set to item level 860.

It's worth noting that the intention with this set is more on the introductory side, with the aim of helping folks get geared up for content, rather than being a sole "end" set for any particular style of play.

If you're the kind of player who only does World Quests and World Bosses, this upgrade should help complement your armor roster, and may provide a few pieces of gear for you. If you're leveling alts, this upgrade will provide a good way to boost your character's item level once you hit 110 and jump into 7.2 content.

The Broken Shore Quest Hub

Completing this scenario opens up the Broken Shore World Quests.

After completing the scenario, you are at your base camp on the Broken Shore (Deliverance Point). This has a flight path and is class themed (as we previously reported).

You are given three quests to complete initially (Legionfall Supplies, Aalgen Point, and Vengeance Point). These last two are there to lead you to the other two flight paths on the Broken Shore.

Just down the road from Deliverance Point you are also given the quest Spiders, Huh? This is a typical goblin-given quest - she asks you to go collect a gem and it turns out to be a grey item!

You can also turn in 100 Legionfall War Supplies for Broken Shore building progression. More details on buildings in this post.

New world quest activities include rolling a barrel of brew to a location while avoiding a stampede of demon horses, killing spirits, killing demons. New World Quests include: Behind Enemy Portals, Exterminating with Impunity, Treasure Master Iks'reeged, I Fel Bat For You, Rolling Thunder, The Wailing Dead, Torture Chamber

Currently, world buffs like the Gaze of Aman'Thul world rez, and your Flight Master's Whistle, are not working on the Broken Shore. This may be fixed in a future PTR patch.

Additionally, the only mobs with regular loot are those on Deadwood Landing and they seem to drop Suramar loot (since they drop Ancient Mana). This is of course subject to change.

Away From Prying Eyes sends you to the Purple Parlor above the Violet Citadel. Here you meet up with the Council of Six (mages) and attempt to help a nearly dead gnome (Conjurer Weinhaus).

The mages preview some enemies for you in hologram form and then send you to Bradensbrook for Holy: The Bradensbrook Investigation. Here you are defending Bradensbrook from a demon onslaught. This leads to the quest Aid on the Front Lines. In my case, I was asked to heal injured allies although this may be spec specific.

You are then tasked with going to find Jarod Shadowsong in Shadowsong's Return. Shadowsong asks you to deal with the Legion leaders (Cutting off the Heads) and to put down spirits who are not at rest (Quieting the Spirits). After this we go look for the main Legion hide out in Source of the Corruption. After your arrival at Hero's Rest, you must uncorrupt 3 Rooksguard soldiers. He then tasks you with killing Lorgos the Resurrector, a Legion inquisitor who is speaking to the ghost of Lord Erdris Thorn.

He then sends you back to the mages in Dalran (The Matter Resolved... For Now...).

The mages at the Violet Citadel decide to give you a reward, A Gift From the Six. You use your extra action button to acquire the gift which unlocks your new traits and upgrades your weapon to be able to put in new ranks on your old traits. This also awards the achievement Power Unbound.

At your class hall, you will hand in the quest that lead from the "Ancient" Elven Battle Plans item from the Broken Shore (Delivering Lost Knowledge).

if i use AP-items and save up points on an artifact without using them, will i be able to put them into the new talents when they are available?

You'll need to have reached the 35th trait in order to unlock the new traits

Any AP you've spent on traits 35-54 will be refunded when you unlock the new traits (as the 35th trait is consumed in order to unlock them), so you'll be able to re-spend that AP immediately

It's class and spec specific. As a druid I has to help Kor'vas in Helfire Peninsula, "protect" her from demon assault (got guardian questline), also got another, but I can't figure it out (need to light up right runes, but I keep dying - 1 wrong rune = 10M hit).Comment by cephadexCommander Strongstar? Changes are in stage 7 - Pillar of Fire.
Earlier, in this stage, you have to place 4 arcane bombs in the soul engine and then fly to command ship. And then it will turn to the final stage, but again you gave to place 7 arcane bombs in the command ship and then finally defeat Mephistroth.
Now BZ make it easier. In stage 7, you simply place 7 arcane bombs in the command ship. I changed spec to prot then re logged to see if the quest pops up and it didn't. Does this mean I have to reach 35 points on my fury spec as well to get the artifact quest? At this point I'm lost I can't get a quest anywhere please help. I thought as long Adnan you have 35 points in any spec you get the quest. Am I wrong ? Thanks
