Remember that Algalon is simply supposed to be just that: an Observer. He's not actually representative of the Titans themselves. Really it's more like we're fighting the secretary of the Titans. He's up there with the keepers appointed by the Titans, a bit stronger since he was directly created by the Titans, but he's still just the errand boy of the Titans, so he's not really a -god.-
I have to disagree with you...Although Algalon is a representative of the titans, he himself is not a god. It would be like suggesting Lord Jaraxxus would be a god or demi-god simply because he represents Sargeras. Simply extracting the fact that Algalon is referred to as an observer could hint at his combat prowess among his own people. You are corrent though that Arthas is less a threat. Think about it, Arthas has been pushed back to the gates of his own throne. Our fight to destroy him seems more a search for revenge.

Look at it in the perspective that Algalon is being sent down to the planet to survey whether the planet is "worthy" or not means that he is just a scout/messenger and therefore not one of the strongest of the titans, so even if he is one of the gods and has the power to destroy the planet, Arthas is still stronger in his own.
Mighty interesting read. I'm kinda split on what to think of Algalon. It seems a bit out of place in Ulduar but then again doesn't cause of Loken. Which gets me thinking what the hell is Yogg doing there. And shouldn't Yogg be stronger then Lich King? If we can stop the God of Death then one soldier and his army shouldn't be an much stronger issue? Gah. I can't think straight right now. ^^;This got me thinking of something else...
For anybody who's actually fought Algalon and done the questline, you will know the following.Once you deliver the questitem from Iron Council hardmode, Muradin will go "oh #$%^, look at this! The titans are gonna erradicate us!"And as the heroes (we) do a mad scramble to reach the observer's door and unlock it (after defeating the keepers on hardmode), we are granted the vision of The Observer arriving. Then he starts his test on Azeroth, which takes approx 1 hour. If we don't defeat him, he sends the "end" signal to the Titans, heralding our erradication. End of story. Now of course we defeat him, so the code he sends is "all is well". The world is saved. The Observer arrived, stayed for ~1 hour, and left, after sending Reply Code Alpha.Just like a worker at a store. He scans the merchanise's barcode. He does not know what this item has gone through in the past. He just checks the barcode and/or the timestamp.
Omg it's SO simple.( +++Svensky)After watching Saurfang playing, Algalon learned some mechanics!1.Algalon moves waves his arm in a quantum manner, opening a ICC door in one moment!2.Algalon slaps you. After a few seconds you find yourself in the outer space.3.Algalon wants a party, creating 4 black holes which swarm unknown beings.4.Algalon wants some fireworks! Summons 3 cosmic fireballs.5.Algalon wants to ROCK! One Big bang and Angrathar is down.6.Algalon become bored, ALT+F4 outta game and wiping the whole IC Glacier.7.Algalon got offended.
