A few days ago I posted a comment about the stupid low drop chance on Reins of the Infinite Timereaver that made it's drop to completely rely on ur "Luck" and say ba'bye to "Grinding" since I killed over 500 TW Bosses and the mount didn't drop for a single person... 500 x 5 = 2500 chances and nothing... so do the math and find the approximate drop chance :D,,,, and now the Illusion: Flames of Ragnaros that i grinded so hard on wow's 10th anniversary on MC for 46 runs =))) is now available with Illusion: Winter's Grasp, in Smokywood Pastures Special Gift, man CMON! Where are those Grindings ? why is this gettin more like lottery than hard grinding? :)))) and now this Smokywood Pastures Special Gift can only be obtained for ONCE PER CHAR IN A YEAR?...
Worth noting: A Smokywood Pastures' Thank You! can not be turned in if you are a Death Knight who never completed Saurfang's Blessing. The ? will show on the map at Greatfather Winter's location, but you can't interact with him since all the NPC's hate you. I assume the same holds true for Alliance, but should be confirmed.
I've made a complete Merrymaker guide on my youtube channel @ Barskiegaming, if any of guys prefer a video format instead! ^^Happy Holidays!- Barskie
Yup, a hotfix to buff the presents' spawn rate and make the while thing generally more bearably was brought in on the 16th. Now go forth and be merry!
Merry Christmas all!

Something I came up with last year for my Guilds. I hope you enjoy it. :)'Twas the Night Before Winter VeilFor your Winter Veil enjoyment, with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore.'Twas the night before Winter Veil, and all through the worlds,Not a critter was stirring. No, not even squirrels. The stockings were hung by the firepit with care,in hopes that Father Winter soon would be there. The orclings were nestled all snug in their bunks, while dreaming of treasure to fill up their trunks. My wifey and I, having each downed a muggle, had just settled down for a long winter's struggle, er, snuggle. When out in the yard there arose such a clatter,I jumped from my furs to see what in Thrall's name was the matter.I flew to the window and threw back the skins,And peered all around looking for villains. The light on the frost from the overhead moonswas almost as bright as Razor Hill's noons,When, what should my bloodshot eyes see through their fog,but a fur-dressed old warrior chasing a dog.His eyes – how they flashed! His demeanor was scary. His fangs were like daggers, his nose, it was hairy. His robe was all red and trimmed with white wool,His boots black as coal, his scabbard was full. The short-legged pup, so pudgy and brown,Was leading the orc on a chase 'round the town.Hither and yon, as they dashed through the slush, the pooch he was agile, the orc, not so much.I started to wonder just who was this bloke, running around like some kind of joke? The pup was all dressed like a princess so pure, and I suddenly realized, "It's Father Winter, for sure!"The dog ran around tail a-wag as she yipped. And old Father Winter staggered and tripped. As he trudged past my window to once again stumble,"No Smokey Pastures treats for you!", I heard him mumble. Then the orc as he ran tripped over a ball, fell into a shed, and slid down the wall.As he lay there breath heaving and starting to curse,I thought, "That dog's dead. She'll not see the First!"But the pup, she ran over to her supine old master, and licking his face wagged her tail even faster. The old warrior laughed, "Ohhh, you've been bad.Let's go home little Princess, I can't stay mad!"He jumped on his wolf and got ready to leave, pulled his white cloak around him to ward off the breeze. And I heard him exclaim as he took off with his pug,"Happy Winter Veil to all" and a cheery "Zug zug!"
really wish the red and green hats were toys and just gave your toon the appearance of wearing the hat for 1 hour on a 1 hour cooldown or something like that.
I'm always a fan of holiday festivities on MMO's, they're so nostalgic for me :)
I haven't been able to find any mention of what time on December 25 the presents become available. I seem to remember something about it being in the morning (like 9am Pacific time), but don't know for sure. Was just in Ironforge and there are a ton of people standing around waiting for presents already (a bit after midnight - so many hours to go still).
great guide guys
I have opened 7 Carefully Wrapped Present so far and have not gotten a single pair of Warm Woolen Socks. Do these even drop anymore or is the drop rate low?
