I just got one of these in the mail from Gubber Blump. Not sure which quest sent it but it was about 3 days between the mail and quest completion.

Starting Fisherpersons need to use these. You know that money Momma Orc gave you and told you not to spend all in one place? This is the exception. Fork over your copper, because even with lightning fast response time your latency will offset this and you'll see a tremendous amount of "Your fish got away!" messages. With a bauble, you have more time after the fish bites to reel it in via a right click.

In case you are forgetful like me, and wonder how many you needed for the Darkmoon Leatherworking quest (Eyes on the Prizes), you need 10x.

You also need five Coarse Thread, and five Blue Dye.

This is a temporary fishing enchantment, which will raise your Fishing skill by a certain amount for a certain time period. Other fishing lures can be found below:

Being that this is probably the first lure (temporary item enhancement) one will use when starting out Fishing, it might be helpful to new players to know that you will need an actual/physical fishing pole to apply lures to. Although you can begin Fishing immediately upon starting a new character by opening up the Professions book and using the Fishing skill right away - basically a branch with some string tied to the end of it - you do need a fishing pole to get the bonuses that lures provide.
