The droprate isn't near as high as wowhead indicates.
I killed around 30 and i only got 12 eggs.

I took my 70 Feral Druid to Arathi Highlands and ran around the zone killing raptors. After 40 minutes I had the following:

48 Raptor Flesh
54 Raptor Egg
47 Raptor Hide
1 Wicked Claw
2 Large Fang
and
7 assorted greens

20 minutes of farming the raptors in wetlands brought me 20 eggs. plenty of trash. a nice blue and a random green. happy farming

Don't forget Raptor Ridge - I've never seen anyone here on my server.
It's actually a nice little cave. Worked quite well for my Death Knight, when raising my skinning and cooking.
You can find the entrance at: 67, 40 in the Wetlands.

27 minutes killing the various raptor types in Arathi Highlands netted me the folliwng:

54 Raptor Eggs
36 Raptor Flesh
17 Curved Raptor Talons
44 Raptor Hides
5 Smooth Raptor Skin
2 Large Fangs
3 random greens

Just a heads up on the wetlands raptors quite often these drop nothing at all wich tends to skew the actual drop rate shown by wowhead. My observed drop rate for the 25 + raptors in wetlands was closer to 50%

The raptor eggs sell quite good on some servers (at least on my server they do) because when i was lvling up my cooking i would pay 10gold for at least 1-5 of them on the ah.

Level 74 Fury Warrior - Ran through Wetlands to Whelgars then over to Raptor Ridge. In about 30 minutes I was left with :

52 Raptor Eggs
1 Raptor Flesh
4 Greens ranging from levels 21 to 27.

Unrelated but somewhat on the topic of farming, Raptor Ridge also allowed me to mine 12 gold ore, 8 silver ore as well as copper and tin.

For those farming in Stranglethorn, the raptors near the Grom'Gol base camp have a much higher drop rate of the eggs than the more plentiful (and higher level) ones near the Gurubashi Arena.

A great place to farm these is 40,24 in the Southern Barrens.

The raptors there have what feels like a ~75% chance to drop an egg, very fast respawn rates and one out of five even instantly respawns.

Highland Fleshstalks in Arithi Highlands(around 46,68) have a very high drop rate on eggs and flesh sometimes dropping both and up to 2 of each. Highly recommend farming here for lvling cooking.

If you're farming these to level your cooking, try looking into the Razormaw Hatchling from wetlands (drops from a nest that spawns nearby the rare mob, Razormaw Matriarch, although not necessarily at the same time). The raptors nearby have a fairly good drop rate on the egss, and you can make a bit of money on the side if the Nest spawns since the pet it drops fetches a pretty good price.

I'm finding Arathi to be a little low-spawn rate for my tastes, and the mobs are pretty spread out. (i.e. I can't gather up 10+ and swipe them once to kill them) And the other raptors across the road have a noticeably lower drop rate of eggs and flesh. But the raptors in the cave in the north-east corner of the Wetlands are close and with a reasonable drop rate. And there's plenty there that all the Arathi ones have come back by the time you're lost in the cave, then out again.

Expect to find a lot of these when leveling skinning. Many of the best spots for farming leather are filled with raptors.

So... yeah. I have a ton of these after leveling my skinning and I am trying to level my cooking but where the hell is the recipe? I've yet to see it from the trainer in Org and even after searching this, very site I still can't find a recipe for it. But you guys keep talking about it being "good for leveling cooking". What gives?

I would like to vouch for the efficacy of farming in Southern Barrens, as posted above. It is an amazing spot for both Raptor Egg and Raptor Flesh. Not the top spot for Flesh, but if you're leveling Cooking and need both Eggs and Flesh, it's a great way to get a supply of both at once.

Location:
Southern Barrens, northwest corner, Hunter's Hill. (map)

Targets:
Terrortooth Runner and Terrortooth Scytheclaw

Technique:
• Make sure you have a reliable, spammable ranged attack that can one-shot the raptors (easy to do, since they only have 900 Health!).
• Stand right around (central dot on the map). If you don't use coordinates, you want your character's arrow to be on top of the second 'L' in "Hunter's Hill".
• You will be surrounded by a loose 'ring' of Terrortooth Scytheclaw (orange raptors), stationed at little 'raptor houses' all around you, and there will be scattered Terrortooth Runner (red raptors) wandering in small patrol paths. Stick to this central location — don't be tempted to wander outside of it.
• Kill all the orange raptors in their houses and any red ones you see near them. Don't wander off! As long as you keep killing the orange raptors as soon as they appear, you will never run out of raptors. There's one orange raptor whose house is a little outside the 'ring' (more east than the other spawns) — kill him too.

Why this is a good farming location:
• Infinite raptors. Remember the Lich King cinematic? Yeah. There must always be... a Terrortooth Raptor. *lightning*
• Immediate respawns. As long as you kill each orange one as soon as you see it and pick off any nearby red ones, you will always have a raptor waiting for your GCD to finish. Pew pew!
• High drop rates. These raptors, despite being infinite and instant, drop tons of eggs and flesh.
• Easy vendors. Horde can dump junk right at Hunter's Hill (literally 10 seconds away), and Ally can fly a bit north and use Honor's Stand (maybe 20-30 seconds away).
• Easy access. Both Hunter's Hill and Honor's Stand have flight paths, so even if you don't have access to teleports, you can get on a flight and then AFK a bit and be right there, ready to farm.

Anything else?
• For both Horde and Ally, Recipe: Roast Raptor is available from vendors right over in nearby Dustwallow Marsh (Ogg'marr / Helenia Olden).

If you're horde, just go to the cliffs north of ratchet.
Slaughter the raptors there and you'll soon have a huge pile of eggs.

I just found an even better spot to farm the eggs is the place in the Northern Barrens where the stolen silver used to be (lots of trees and raptor nests around, coords 49, 75 for those unfamiliar with the old quest). They were dropping left and right for me.

Just wanted to update, the Jungle Stalkers in STV are probably one of the best sources. Tried out the raptors in Arathi, but mwah, not that fast respawn times. Raptors in Dustwallow are too far apart and drop too much meat.

I went to Arathi to farm these and they didn't drop from the raptors there. Since BfA you must talk to Zidormi near the bridge to the south to see the old world version of Arathi and THEN they'll drop all the flesh and eggs you need.

IMPORTANT: If you're farming this in Arathi, remember to talk to Zidormi at 38.89 to phase to the Vanilla timeline because the Highlander Fleshstalkers from the BfA do NOT drop Raptor Eggs or Meat, you want the Vanilla ones.
