Don't even bother using this or the Dalaran portal in a PvP server, CRZ makes them completely worthless; you'll only waste time doing corpse runs and also be unable to use the summon stone.

I have this ring on my character. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure you need to have finished Return to Karazhan: Clearing Out the Cobwebs and then kill Nightbane. That's what I did, no one else in my group got the quest drop for it and I was the only one who finished the quest line.

Does anyone know for sure how to get this ring to hit 875? Is it a series of quests, and by the time Kara is cleared, you can have the final version.

Quest to acquire this ring is a quest item dropped off Nightbane which pops up the quest turn-in, only after you have completed the previous quest: Clearing out the Cobwebs.

The quest item drops within Nightbane's loot, so unfortunately if you have already killed Nightbane for the week before completing Clearing out the Cobwebs, you'll have to wait until the following week for a fresh kill to loot the quest item to get the quest popup.

I'm here to confirm: Ring is the reward from a quest-item that Nightbane drops.
Must have completed all other quest chains in new Karazhan (up to the "Clearing out the Cobwebs"), to receive it.
It is possible to puzzle the lockout to complete it in super short time(a week or two), but people will hate you for leaving every now and then. After you kill Nightbane, just walk outside Karazhan and hand it in to the npc right next to the old Karazhan entrance.

I feel like there should be a note for the novelty of it...the teleport on this ring is an instant cast. I don't know of any other instant cast teleports in the game. Not hugely useful because it's not usable in combat and there's a 30 second CD when you first equip it, but it still stands out.

If u dont want to screw with whole chain quest i recommend to set hearth to Okrillon hold/Dreadmaul Hold(old blasted lands) for karazhan farming.

I don't think it's still possible to obtain this ring in Shadowlands. Mage Darius (NPC that should have started the quest chain) no longer gives any quests.

So, Im farming the 2 mounts with my mage and my hunter. I partly did the quest line with them during Legion, but didnt bother to finish it, because the ring had a lower ilvl and there was a portal in Dalaran to Kara..

Does anyone know if you can do the quest line with other characters in one day or do you have to wait several weeks because of ID issues, because its myth. Can you do part of it on heroic mode?

Edit: Im doing this right now with an alt, and can say the pre quests do work on heroic mode. You have to reset the instance though and do some of the stuff double. You can jump into death at the last boss. Then you will spawn in the book room and if you move up the stairs, there is a portal to the beginning of the instance, where you can walk out. No need to use a hearthstone etc.

It took me a while to figure out how to start this chain since the first few quests have been marked obsolete so I wanted to share my findings. The first quest is now Finite Numbers offered by Khadgar in front of Karazhan. Happy hunting! :)

So i read some comments and was determined to go do the quests. .....I guess i already have them done cause i just walked up to a vendor that sold me the ring for 9 gold

Summary:
Do the Karazhan attunement quest chain that used to start with Edict of the God-King but now starts with
Corruption Runs Deep, Finite Numbers, and Holding the Lines, and when downstairs you might as well pick up Waterlogged Tome.
Finally enter the dungeon and complete Archmage Khadgar's quest chain with Fragments of the Past and Return to Karazhan: In the Eye of the Beholder.
Do Mage Darius' quest chain that starts with Return to Karazhan: Book Wyrms and ends with Return to Karazhan: Clearing Out the Cobwebs.
Switch to Mythic difficulty, unlock Nightbane (which awards One Night in Karazhan).
Kill it, it drops Charred Bone Fragments which starts No Bones About It which rewards this ring.

I kind of wish that this was a toy that doesn't use a bag slot and can be used by all toons for farming mounts...
