Figured I help you guys out with some ideas following my other guide on how to create
custom nonset transmogs
. These are some sets of transmogs that I have created or found the pieces to to duplicate the look of NPCs. I may include sets I find, but will note those sets as such.
NOTICE:
Please be aware that the race used to display the transmog may not be able to be the class to use all the pieces. Most of the transmogs are, however, based on type with pieces that can be swapped out if a specific class cannot use it.
I have finally decided to redo my transmog guide. I have been thinking about it for awhile. The way I had it setup was difficult and time consuming to add new sets and to keep updated. Wowhead has not released the Outfits feature, which was the final push for me to make the update to the guide. Since all the information I was posting, and then some, are now on the Outfits' pages, I decided to only post images and link those to the respected outfit's page.
All the following transmogs have an outfits page to go with them. You can find out more about this feature in the
New Site Feature: Save and Share Custom Transmog Outfits
post.
These transmogs are transmogs I have put together since the transmog option was released. There sets are very specific types.
Sets do not use all the pieces of a set (at most 2-4) unless it is duplicating an NPC.
To create my sets in the same manner explained in my guide,
Creating Custom NonSet Transmogrifications
.
All transmogs unless otherwise noted I created using MogIt in game.
Unless in the "Mixed" section all the transmogs are practical
Mixed sets are basically for RolePlaying or to show what some NPC may be sporting.
If you are needing basic help with transmogging check out Wowhead's
Transmog Basics and Wowhead Tools
guide.
Please note that some transmogs may not be created by me. They will be linked to the outfit's page made by the transmoggers creator. I am adding these as I find them nice, and would like to include others work.
---------->>> CLOTH <<<-----------
Cloth armor is mainly used by casting classes such as Warlocks, Mages and Priests. However, it can be worn by all classes if the piece does not specy a specific class(es). When crafting pieces they are usually crafted by a
tailor
, and require at least one of the cloth element such as:
Wool Cloth
,
Mageweave Cloth
, or
Frostweave Cloth
.
---------->>> LEATHER <<<-----------
Leather gear is used by rogues, druids and monks their entire career, and hunters and shaman during the first 40 levels until mail is more beneficial for them. Leather items can be craft through
leatherworking
and requires the assistance from a
skinner
to get leathers like
Savage Leather
or
Medium Hide
.
---------->>> MAIL <<<-----------
Mail armor is used by Hunters and Shaman once they reach level 40. It is also used by plate classes during the first 40 levels of their career until plate becomes available and is more beneficial to them. Pieces of mail can be created both by leatherworkers and Blacksmiths and will require leather, scales, and/or ores as the primary mat in crafting.
---------->>> PLATE <<<-----------
Plate can be worn by Warriors and Paladins from level 40 on and the entire career of Death Knight (because DKs starting level is after level 40). When being craft, plate, is made by
Blacksmiths
and will require the assistance of a
miner
to obtain and smelt ore in bars such as
Ghost Iron Bar
or
Bronze Bar
.
---------->>> MIXED <<<-----------
I also decided to add in a section where the pieces may not belong to the same class (cloth, leather, mail, plate), or are missing pieces that can't be hidden like shoulders. These will probably be more useful for those who enjoy role playing.
---------->>> ALLIANCE <<<-----------
With the upcoming release of the Battle for Azeroth, which brings back the blood fued between the Horde and Alliance I have decided to do two sections specific to Horde and Alliance themed transmog sets.
This set is Alliance themed. They use a lot of blue, silver/grey, and gold/yellow along with Alliance themed tabards and weapons.
NOTE:
Please note that some of these transmogs may not be created by myself. I may use other's I have found to give you more options.
These are practical cloth, leather, mail and plate armor sets (no mixed sets).
Please check out my
Show Your Allegiance Transmogs
guide for Alliance themed transmogs.
---------->>> HORDE <<<-----------
