Character: Alenei
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Hunter
Age: (Human Equivalent) 15
Allegiance: Independent
Location: Moonbrook
"There is is, Carin. Moonbrook." Alenei di Capernio smiled a bit. "Don't worry. After this job, you won't have to carry me anymore. I'll be able to buy a real mount." The black cat growled quietly. As Alenei was not able to afford the prices of a horse, the large cat named Carin who was the huntress' pet also served as her mount.
The pair slipped into Moonbrook under cover of night. While Alenei was not a rogue, she was used to working with them as a sniper- usually they got her into position, she killed whoever needed killed, and they got her out. While it was not much fun, it paid.
Alenei and Carin slipped into the Deadmines through the old barn. They headed down into the mines softly. Some miners still slaved away, watched by overseers. If they had thoughts of stopping the girl and her cat, they did not. The key was to act like you belonged there. Looking like it helped, too- Alenei had her own set of black leathers, much like the ones worn by the Defias rogues.
"I am here to see Master VanCleef about the Sentinel Hill job, Smite. Calm down," she assured the Tauren when he stepped out to intercept her.
"How, Miss Capernio? You're a hunter," Smite commented.
"Shooting isn't the only thing I'm good at," Ali stroked the handle of one of her sabers. "You want a demonstration?"
"Fine. Don't blame me if he turns you down," he rumbled.
Alenei climbed the gangway, crossed the deck, and knocked quietly on the door frame where VanCleef was working on deck.
"Miss Capernio..." He stood, and gestured for Alenei to come in. She shook his hand and took the seat he offered her. "It's good to see you again. Certainly a relief from the antics of the rogues, and those moody mages, I mean!"
Alenei laughed. "It's good to see you, too, Master VanCleef."
"So, what are you here about? The Sentinel Hill job?" Alenei just nodded. "Well... I don't see why not. Payment?"
"20 gold," Alenei said quietly. VanCleef looked surprised, and agreed readily.
"All after the job, you know," he reminded her.
"It was good seeing you again, Master VanCleef," Alenei said once more, then returned to the surface. She wore a red bandana on her arm, a signal that she was with the Defias and not to be attacked. She would spend the rest of the night in the makeshift inn the Defias operated in Moonbrook.

Name
: Base (it's a codename, the only one who knows his old Winterfang name is himself, and he's nearly forgotten it).
Class
: Assassin
Race
: Ice troll (although he has the physique of a Darkspear, rather than a Drakkari, and he's become highly humanized in his time working as an assassin, so he speaks near perfect common)
Allegiance
: The highest bidder
Location
: Sentinel Hill
"Pardon me, Mr. Stoutmantle," Base whispered into the ear of the sleeping leader of The People's Milita.
Gryan Stoutmantle woke with start, and would have alerted the guards, had not Base quickly brought his rough blue hand to his mouth.
"Shhh... We cannot have ya alerting the guards, Mr. Stoutmantle. I am trying ta save your life." Gryan slowly relaxed, and shortly after the troll removed his hand and sat down in the chair on the opposite side of the Paladin's quarters. Gryan stared cautiously into the trolls green goggles, his wily eyes just barely visible. The savage black and white paint on the trolls face made it difficult to make out the assassin's features.
"You see Mr. Stoutmantle, it has come to my attention that there are a number of people who want you dead, and they are prepared to pay."
Base paused, listening to a sound that Gryan could barely make out. It sounded like an owl, but it was diffucult to be sure.
"However, Mr. Stoutmantle, I have done a great deal of research on you, and have deemed you worthy of a buyout," Base paused, fingering the pommel of his dagger, "If you can pay, I will see to it that you remain alive."
"My men can handle any threat that your employers can throw at us." Gryan interjected angrily.
"Ah, but can they?" Base rebutted slyly, "Do not forget. I was able to enter your private quarters without alerting the guards or waking your men. How can you be certain that I could not again?"
"So you threaten me?" Gryan shouted, "I will not be forced to pay protection money! I will see you hang, rat! Guards!"
A pair of armoured humans rushed into the room from outside the keep.
"Consider my offer." Base whispered slyly as he threw a small explosive at the feet of the soldiers, knocking them back. Blinded, Gryan stood and made his way to the door, where he could just make out the white ponytail of the troll as he escaped into the night.
As he regained his vision, he noticed a small scroll hanging by a leather cord from his doorway. Upon unrolling it, he read the contents, penned in a fine script in crimson ink.
"If you wish to engage my services, please leave a pouch containing no less than thirty pieces of gold with Antonio Perrelli, who should arrive in your camp shortly.
P.S. Don't arrest him, he does not know who the gold is for."
Gryan looked out into the night and pondered over what had just transpired.
*~*~*~*~*~*
((Should he accept the offer?)

Character:
Sarethia Dawnsinger
Location:
Border of Elwynn Forest and Westfall
((ooc- Her equipment
first set.))
Sarethia, or Sari to her friends, is a young female High Elf (young by Elf standards any ways) Knight. She is lithe and thin-boned, beautiful with deep sea green eyes, cute little nose, full lipped, pointed chin, and long white hair. Sari is a very serious and intelligent young woman, but doesnt have much of a sense of humour. She is on her first solo mission to investigate the reports of the Defias problems in Westfall.
I am proud that the Knight Council decided to send me on this mission. Though I have to admit a bandit hunt doesnt seem to be a worthy assignment for a young Knight such as myself.
Sari thought as she rode her mare along the road towards Sentinel Hill where she would meet her contact. She looked around her and was sadden to see the once proud farmland that had provided so much food to all of southern Azeroth foundering and dieing.
You'd think the humans would take better care then this.
She thought, snorting slightly,
You'd never see Elves allowing this to happen.
As she rode, she watched around her to make certain no bandits or theives were sneaking up.
It wasn't long till she saw the Guard Tower on the horizon and kicked her heels to her mare to go faster and reach the town.
