Bounty Board (Closed RPs)

They can be seen all over Azeroth: on boards outside of inns, tacked to sign posts enticingly, and the insides of militia and guard houses warningly. Wanted, Reward, missions of fate, promises of adventure for soldiers of fortune. How often an adventure has begun at the behest of a piece of paper tacked to a board? Friends found, enemies made, and riches won for those that return.
And yet, the presence of these notices speak of something more, that of a need far beyond what they seem to imply. They speak for works beyond that of the conventional lawgivers. Perhaps because of a danger presented proving too great, a privacy best not betrayed, a need to go where the reach of law falls short, or even in contrary to these, for it is not always for good that tasks such as these are offered or undertaken. They are as varied as those who accept them. They are for private guards, assassins, spies, family, friends, or strangers, the skills needed are as varied as the missions themselves; and success or failure depends upon the people chosen.
The tasks presented here are such. They are the stories within stories, the beginnings, middle, and ends not otherwise told. These are tales of Bounty Boards.
Please see the Q&A for further information.

Character
: Sir Woecce, Damocles Rex
Location
: Jade Forest, Cordon Area
Scenario
: Eclipsed Chronometry
The air shimmered and warbled from the barrier like it was made of oil, casting vibrant lights across the lazy hills of the Jade Forest and playing across stone walls as they rose in construction and fell with age seemingly at a whim. It was an almost magical scene, if one ignored all the sounds of gunshot and screaming battle cries.
The distortion of paradox made Damocles skin feel greasy, as though the air was charged with electricity. Light across the spectrum and beyond played on the creature he had pinned, struggling beneath his boot. Creature would be an apt description, for it resembled more a blot of space filled with pinpricks of light rather than anything tangible, its form shifting and squirming as it tried to take on an appearance supportable in the alien material plane. Tendrils squirmed and tried to grab at the hem of Damocles black trenchcoat. Behind his high collar, the ParCon agent let his lips draw a thin line. This meant it was near impossible to find their weak point.
Damocles guessed.
The creature screamed. He guessed right.
Damocles pulled his foot back as the creature began to dissolve into flakes like burning paper.
A hand slapped down on his shoulder. Damocles stiffened minutely. He failed to relax on coming to face a piercing glass eye with a golden core set in the aged but jovial face of ParCon's head.
A trim white bearded face smiled with congeniality. "Excellent work Damocles!" Sir Woecce praised amiably, patting the younger man on the shoulder. "I see the cordon held while I was gone."
The ParCon agent silently turned to fully face his superior, holding his shotgun at ease. He nodded once. "Yes, sir. The cordon remains secure, and our agents are in position. Your return is most timely..." trailing off, Damocles raised his eyes to those who had come with his employer. "...And with
people
." The word 'people' did not hold surprise or even malice, but rather a deep annoyance. The high collar hid his face, but Damocles made no effort to lower his voice. "Sir. I believe ParCon exists so the mundane are not exposed to such operations."
Raising a snowy brow speculatively, Sir Woecce peered at Damocles. "Mr. Damocles. Are you questioning my logic?" There was a moment of silence, followed by a tinkle of ice in a glass. "Scotch?"
Damocles stared down at the glass thrust in his face with clear disapproval in hsi narrowed eyes. "...No, sir."
Woecce shrugged. "Suit yourself." Under his subordinates baleful eye, the ParCon head took a long draw. Damocles said nothing, instead turning an inquisitorial eye to those who had just passed through the barrier behind his commander.

Drandormu took no notice of the elf's displeasure, taking her smile as sincere. He laughed warmly, "That's because I'm a dragon! This is only my second year as one! I'm part of the bronze dragonflight! Who do you serve?"

"You're two years old?" The elf said puzzeled in her look with arms crossed under her chest. "I'm from the Silver Covenant, a high elven part of the Kirin Tor." Elthalis then said and looked over her robe and saw that her dalaranian eyes on her robe and blade where still there.

"Ah!" the dragon exclaimed, "You misunderstood me!" he beamed at her, "This is my second year out of drake-hood!" His bronze eyes followed hers to her robe, "Do those mark you as part of Dalaran? I haven't followed the Dalaran time-stream very much; nothing interesting has happened there!"

"The eye of dalaran have been it's symbol since it's creation..." Elthalis spoke blankly. She was now unsure of the sanity of the self-proclaimed dragon. Of the things she knew of dragon was that no dragon whould introduce themself as a dragon or reveal their draconic name. This must be some demented elf who have lost his mentality, perhaps the masive loss of elven lives in Quel'Thalas in the third war is the couse?

Character
: Benjamin Worthington
Location
: Jade Forest, Cordon Area
Scenario
: Eclipsed Chronometry
Benjamin passed the two non-humans with an airy smile on his ageless face, striding towards Woecce and Damocles. He pulled a stopwatch out of his vest's pocket and sighed after registering the time.
"It would appear that we are almost three minutes behind the schedule. How unseemly," Worthington lamented when the distance between him and the other humans allowed him to speak softly without fear of his voice being drowned in the dragon's wails.
"I bid you good morning, gentlemen," the graying man nodded politely at the two. "My name is Benjamin Worthington. I do, however, answer for 'Ben' when the thick of a melee leaves no room for formality, ha ha."

Eclipsed Chronometry
The young elvish noble strode nonchalantly past the cordon with coattails fluttering lazily in the slipstream. He was just in time for Benjamin's introduction to be within earshot, and the talk caused him to smirk complacently - possibly in response to the complaints about time and schedules. A moment later he joined with his would-be companions in silence.

Damocles eyed the group from over his collar inscrutably. He turned from Worthington without comment. "And I am to assume they are here for the infiltration, then?"
"Precisely!" He suddenly turned about. "Well, best be off then. It's almost scotch o'clock....eventually. Which is where I'm off to. Can't be too late or early for these things. But before I do, this wonderful little contraption," he added, producing a small mechanical cuckoo, a clock face implanted in its chest, "is for yooooo..." he paused on approaching Drandormu, his glass eye slowly drifting away from the bronze to land on another. "...ooooou!" He pushed the bird into Myran's hands. "That's important, do try not to break it. So, approximately..." he produced a large golden watch and checked the time. "Twenty minutes, nineteen second from now, swerve right rather than left when the moonbeam strikes. Got that?" he asked, peering up at Myran with a sudden intensity in his mismatched eyes.

"Not break, twenty minutes, nineteen-minus-some seconds, swerve right when moonbeam strikes...
sir
," the elf repeated quickly in a voice that reflected amusement rather than gravity. He weighed the device in his hands while he spoke and pondered for a moment over a suitably witty response to the pale-skinned elf next to him, but came up with none before Drandormu was overwhelmed by the silence and opened his mouth again.
