Horde - Murlocs
Free from control of the dark, mystical sea witch who bound the murlocs to attack the combined armies of Thrall and Sen'jin, the Murlocs of Seaspread Isle are continually vied for their native homes by Kul Tiras raiders. Now ruled by King Mrgburgl, who, with the aid of an Orcish Translator, allied with Orgrimmar's armies to strengthen their naval power and lay waste to marauding Alliance sea-vessels threatening the safety of the Horde. As a swarm of maritime warriors, shamans, and seers, Murlocs excell at combat when near their native province of the sea and are buffed when in water. Lok'tar Og'ar in the Murloc Tongue is transferred to "Mrglbbllr Yrrgblr" and, with the aid of Kalimdor's armies, the tidal swarm stirs in vengeance and wrath, rallied by their Murloc King and enraged at the armies of Kul Tiras.
Racial Abilities:
I am Murloc!
- Activate to increase primary stat by 15% for 12 seconds. 2 Min. CD.
Thrash
- Increases Swim Speed by 50%
Slash
- Increases Attack Speed by 1%
Alliance - The Oracles
The Alliance, seeking to claim an ally to counter the Horde's newfound Murlocian armies, found no better race than the Oracles, who's peaceful culture not only fits within the Alliance, but who's seaside dwellings and military could help counter the tidal swarm. Just as Murloc players start in their contested land of Seaspread Isle, named after the spread of Murlocs whom inhabited the isle after the Horde fled a long time ago, the Oracles of Scholazar Basin retreated from the onslaught of Wolvar and resettled on the coastal lands of Stranglethorn Vale, in close proximity to Stormwind and in environmental relaitivity to their native homelands of Scholazar. Through years of unwanted war and continual struggle for peace, the Oracles have learned to retalliate their opponents, and have become rather fearsome in combat, adapting to years of war.
Racial Abilities:
Retalliate
- Single-target spells and abilities performed against you perform 1/4 of the effect back to the attacker. Lasts 6 seconds. 2 Min. CD
Fearsome
- Oracles gain a 1% increased Crit chance.
Sea's Blessing
- Gain 1% increased Spirit.

I think the Jinyu, which are evolved from Murlocs through the influence of magic lakes (very similar to the Kaldorei, I think their models even use the male NElf animations) could be set up to become a new Alliance race.

THE MURLOC SWARM > Jinyu.

I simply do not care for either race nor do I care for the addition of any more races at this time, so no, thankyou.

But you DO care because you don't want it. If you didn't care, it wouldn't affect you if they added it or not, but you wouldn't like that, so you do care.
For example, if Blizzard asked to destroy your gear, and you said "I don't care." Then once the gear was destroyed, you simply would not care, because you said you didn't care.
If you said "I do care." And they destroyed it, you would be angry, because you DID care.
Same thing with this, friend. You do care because you would dislike if they added it, therefore, you can't say "you don't care".

He didn't say that he didn't care, he said he didn't care for either race, meaning he doesn't like them.
Hoorah for only reading the part you want to.
...Or being illiterate.
I agree with Yukon, that, the game doesn't need any more new races at the moment. Give the damned pandas a chance before you start throwing things like this out.

Thankyou for learning how to read, comprehending what you have just read and most importantly defending my position.
My new friend is quite correct I do not like either of your proposed playable races and I also do not think this is a good time for the introduction of any more races to the game.

You're very welcome.

Once again, you're very welcome.

You don't like Murlocs? OR ORACLES?
Okay, I think I will make a new thread, it will be titled: "New Race - Pandaren"
This race will be a faction of pandalike people that live on a giant turtle, and can join the Horde
or
Alliance!
Wait, that would be the stupidest thing ever rofl.

Your opinion, which is exactly what yukon is giving here. There is no huge debate about it, you either like the suggested races or don't. You made a post on a public forum and people are giving their opinions on the matter. If you don't like their opinion then there isn't anything you can do about that.
As for myself, I don't like them either. I'm not a fan of the smaller races, such as Gnomes or Goblins.

So ignore the lore to make 'big murlocs' and also ignore the fact that pandaren have been in WC lore as long as night elves, and have also been canonically neutral.
Personally, I would play murloc for the laughs, but you can't really get mad at people for not agreeing with you on a public forum.

Personally, I'd like to see any new races take the Panda route, and be available to both. For members of existing races, it might be nice to have some kind of long involved quest chain allowing someone to switch factions and keep their race. Other MMO's have done it, and it might be fun from an RP standpoint. The argument that they want you to be able to tell faction by race gets shot down with the Pandas.
There could be a number of legitimate reasons for people to become disillusioned by their home faction-especially with the recent political turmoil and more ruthless tactics of the Horde, or the unsavory things you discover about top-ranking members of the alliance and the supposed defenders of the Light on the Alliance side. Maybe some people would fight for whoever paid the most, were running from a criminal act, etc. It would totally make sense for there to be some crossover.

I've always wanted to play as a Murloc. I think it'd be great. I'm a big fan of new races, adds a lot of fun and diversity to the game IMO. Not sure I'll ever get to be a Murloc tho, I'd be willing to settle for a Naga, or... anything with scales =P
