A new questline in 10.2.7 sees players help a night elf lay her family to rest. But when her sister turns out to be an enemy from our own past, it's up to us to decide what happens next.
Warning: 10.2.7 Spoilers Ahead
An Uncommon Request
The questline begins with Malfurion Stormrage in Bel'ameth. He tells us about a young night elf who he recently gave permission to bury her family in a barrow den, and, worrying that her request means she has no family left, asks us to go check on her.
Tears of Teldrassil
We meet the night elf, Kelestra, outside the Barrows of Reverie, and while we help her collect barrowstones for her family's final resting place, she tells us her story.
Her sister was a druid, and always loved that this meant she and her family would be allowed the honor of being laid to rest in a barrow den like this one. But the day that her sister completed her training as a Druid of the Talon was the same day that the Horde set Teldrassil ablaze. They were told to evacuate, but the path to Darnassus was cut off. Kelestra's sister led them to the edge of the crown of Teldrassil instead, where she told them to jump - she would use her druid powers over the wind to glide them down safely.
Sadly, things went wrong. Kelestra's sister was hit by a burning branch. She was engulfed in flames, and she lost all concentration, causing Kelestra's family to fall.
While Kelestra herself survived - though she was badly injured - her brother and her parents died in the fall... and, she believes, her sister - though she never saw her again.
Kelestra says: My family had gathered that day to celebrate my elder sister. She had just completed her training as a Druid of the Talon.
Kelestra says: We lived in the village of Dolanaar, high in the branches of Teldrassil. We had heard war might be coming but we never thought...
Kelestra says: We were told we had to evacuate. But there was so much chaos. So much fire. Even now, what I remember most was the smell.
Kelestra says: The path to Darnassus was cut off by the blaze. My sister instead led us east, to the edge of the crown of Teldrassil. She had a plan.
Kelestra says: She wanted us to jump from the tree. She would use her powers over wind to keep us aloft and glide down to the shore below.
Kelestra says: But something went wrong. As we drifted along, she was struck by a burning branch. It ignited her clothing and engulfed her in flames.
Kelestra says: She lost control of her magic. We all plummeted into the sea below, I was badly hurt in the fall, but I managed to survive.
Kelestra says: The rest of my family... was not so lucky.
Kelestra says: Over timet I eventually recovered the remains of my parents and brother, I never found my sister.
Kelestra says: Her grave is likely at the bottom of the Veiled Sea.
At this point, Kelestra's story takes a surprising turn, when it turns out her sister was none other than Koroleth, the night elf who spearheaded the Primalist's efforts in the Ohn'ahran Plains. It was Koroleth who recruited Clan Nokhud to Raszageth's cause, and laid siege to the Emerald Bough in an attempt to claim the Dream. We were the ones who defeated her... and killed her.
The druid Rashan Stillbrook overhears, and angrily confronts Kelestra, telling her that sister was a traitor who deserved her fate. Kelestra is understandably distraught, and asks us if it's true. At this point, we are given a choice over how much we want to tell her - from claiming we don't know anything, to revealing our own role in Koroleth's death.
Kelestra says: But sometimes I wonder if my sister might have survived the jump off Teldrassil.
Kelestra says: If anyone could survive that fall, it would be Koroleth.
Rashan Stillbrook says: Koroleth was your sister?! She was a Primalist and a traitor! She deserved her fate!
Kelestra says: That... that can't be true...
Rashan Stillbrook says: If you don't believe met go speak with the other Primalist traitors at the Twilight Watchtower. They will tell you the truth.
Finding Koroleth
Kelestra can't understand why her sister would join the Primalists, so we head to the Twilight Watchtower where the Wardens keep an eye on former Primalists who have rejoined night elf society. Here, we speak to Koroleth's former allies.
They tell us how she was motivated by a fierce hatred of the Horde - Koroleth as we knew her was always very striking looking, with her bald head and scarred face, and the Primalists confirm these are the markings of the Burning of Teldrassil. She joined the Primalists after the Alliance signed the armistice. However, they also believe their true target, the new world tree, was purposefully kept from Koroleth - and that if Koroleth had survived, she would have eventually switched sides - as they did.
This brings a certain amount of comfort to Kelestra, who can understand how Koroleth must have felt about the Horde, but who believes her sister would never have attacked Amirdrassil.
Kelestra asks for our help in recovering her sister's remains, so that she can be buried with her family.
Kelestra says: Sister... you will be reunited with our family soon.
Player Choice
Back at the barrow den, we find Kelestra's way has been barred by Rashan Stillbrook and Malfurion Stormrage. Rashan has objected to a Koroleth being laid to rest in one of their sacred barrow dens on the basis that she was a traitor. Malfurion admits it's a difficult situation, since he didn't know the identity of Kelestra's sister when he agreed.
Kelestra asks us to help argue her case, and here again, we are given a choice. This time, our choice has consequences, which we are warned about when we make our decision.
If we argue on Kelestra behalf - or, if we let Malfurion make his own decision - Malfurion decides to allow Koroleth to be laid to rest in the barrow den. Kelestra is thankful, but Rashan - whose brother was killed by Koroleth - is angered, and leaves in disgust.
Malfurion Stormrage says: Kelestra, your sister Koroleth fought for the Primalists, and her actions caused pain and sorrow for us and our allies.
Malfurion Stormrage says: However, she did not escape the consequences of those actions. She paid for them with her life.
Malfurion Stormrage says: Koroleth could not find peace in life. But perhaps under the boughs of a new world tree, she may find some in eternal rest.
Malfurion Stormrage says: Kelestra, you may bury your sister with the rest of your family.
Kelestra says: Thank you. Both of you. You have given me the peace I thought would never come.
Rashan Stillbrook says: Hmph, My brother died fighting Koroleth. Where is his peace? Where is his justice?!
Kelestra says: <name>, when you have a moment, please come see me at my family's resting place.
If we side with Rashan, Malfurion forbids Kelestra from laying Koroleth to rest inside the barrow den. Rashan is satisfied, but Kelestra is heartbroken that her family will not rest together after all, and asks us to meet her where we found Koroleth's remains.
Malfurion Stormrage says: Kelestra. your sister Koroleth fought for the Primalists, and her actions caused pain and sorrow for us and our allies.
Malfurion Stormrage says: I cannot in good conscience allow her to be buried here, on ground that we have shed so much blood to protect.
Malfurion Stormrage says: It would be a disservice to all those who fought and died against the Primalists to stop their machinations.
Malfurion Stormrage says: Kelestra, I am sorry, but you must lay your sister to rest elsewhere.
Kelestra says: My heart aches that my family will never be united again.
Kelestra says: <Name>, when you are done with these people, come find me on the beach where you found my sister.
Rashan Stillbrook says: You have done the right thing, Archdruid. It was not pleasant, it was not easy, but it was right.
Completing this quest rewards the

toy, which summons a miniature stormcloud!
With this, the questline is over, but we can still visit Kelestra at her sister's grave.
Aftermath
If we supported her, Kelestra can be found within the barrow den, where her family now rests together in peace, and she thanks us for our help.
Thank you, <name>, for all that you have done for me.
I do not dispute what Koroleth did or the harm that she caused. But I never knew Koroleth the primalist.
I knew Koroleth the druid, who dedicated her life to the balance and harmony of nature.
I knew Koroleth the night elf, who would have given her life to protect Teldrassil and its people.
I knew Koroleth. my sister. who would take me to the docks of Ruth'eran Village as a child to watch the ships sail by, and on the way home, buy a basket of Tundra Berries for me to munch on.
That is the Koroleth I will remember.
If we don't support her, Kelestra instead buries her sister on the beach where we first found Koroleth's remains. Though she doesn't seem to blame us for Malfurion's refusal, this Kelestra seems much angrier and darker. In fact, we think we see a hint of something that we once saw in Koroleth herself.
I don't know what you said to Malfurion, but thank you for trying <name>.
<KeIestra wipes away tears.>
Since my sister is unwanted at Amirdrassil, I decided to lay her to rest here. where you found her.
I know that my sister has wronged our people... but she's gone. Must they punish her for eternity? Can they not let go of their anger? Their hatred?
<Kelestra clenches her fists so tightly, they begin to tremble.>
