Soloed this as a 43 Feral Tauren Druid with armor with lots of +agi.

Plus each flower spawns two or three of the level 46 Scions..

I entered through in the Orange area, stealthed past the first two Lashers, where there's a flower. I'd use the liquid, and kill the two scions that came out. If there were three, I ran. :P

After I killed the two, I'd go out of the instance, reset it, and go back in. I did this in 6 short trips (two trips spawned 3 guys).

Not too difficult to solo at 55 rogue, but when there were 3 I'd have to use some healing

The orange crystal pool is outside of the orange instance. It's not the pool that the dryad is standing in, but right after that. On your minimap, it's the biggest dark-orange blob.

To be clear, the wines are located inside the instance in the orange part. Use the vial on the wines (it has about 10 yard range). Two or three Noxxious Scion spawns and you need to kill 8 of these in total to complete the quest. They are non elites so quite easy to take out, even possible to take one at a time if you are careful.

This is in the Mauradon instance in Desolace, roughly 30,62.

You need to go in the instance - big Steel double doors. Go to the right and follow the Orange crystals to the instance entrance.

I would love to add, this is so easy if you do not aggro the elementals when they spawn, did it on my druid and lock, lock was 50 and had to only take out the one level 45 elite. Druid could sneak past and so was much lower (45) I found that with up to 3 spawns, if I got aggro, I could easily run and jump down to the entrance, then reenter, sneak up and pull each one individually. This made it so easy.

useful tip,

throw the water at the plant and back away quickly. these mobs do not aggro each other and you can pull them one at a time to dispatch with ease.

Make sure you look at the screen shot of the plant. There's no label to the plant when you mouse over the item, so it's possible to run past several of these, especially when your party is pushing forward.

Yes be sure not to spent an inordinate amount of time trying to pour the vial onto the 'Corrupted Vines' that are creatures. The things you need to pour it on are just big plants like a huge mushroom or a small palm tree...look at the screen shot.

The orange crystal pool is JUST outside the orange instance entrance to the right. (39,58)
The vines look like orange/red mushrooms with fern leaves coming from under the mushroom cap and are inside the orange side of the instance.

I think we should kill that evil creature. If we gather all our mana, say, to at least 90 % we should be able to throw first CB (chrystal ball) and then a CE (chrystal eye) so that we can get intel on their armies, and then we should be able to strike with elite soldiers and foot soldiers.

Also we could finance a dragon if everybody chip in. Thanks.

As a 46 feral druid I was able to take on three scions with little trouble, so no need to run. The longest part was waiting for the disease and magic debuffs they put on you to go away.

Please note that these do not sparkle like normal quest objects. They also do not have a cog when you hover over them, so keep your eyes open.

Vyletongue Corruption

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Fill the Coated Cerulean Vial at the orange crystal pool in Maraudon.

Use the Filled Cerulean Vial on the Vylestem Vines to force the corrupted Noxxious Scion to emerge.

Heal 8 plants by killing these Noxxious Scion, then return to Vark Battlescar in Shadowprey Village.

Description

A satyr known as Vyletongue has corrupted the caverns of Maraudon, stunting the growth of many of the plants inside.

Take this vial, <name>. Fill it at the orange crystal pool found inside the caverns; the coating inside the vial will counter the toxins, turning it into a healing agent.

Find the Vylestem vines inside the orange caverns, and use the purified liquid on them. The corruption will be purged from the plant, but do know that Vyletongue will still control it. He may use it against you...
