You have to complete all the quests in Keep in order to get the Wrathgate quest, including this one, a pain when 7 others are on it at the same time.

Seems currently you can level your mining skill here from lvl 1, just keep deleting the ore and mining the Strange Ore for points.

Hilarious quest, if you're level 1 mining you can just drop the Ore and level to 75. Atm I've leveld from 1 - 257 in this cave!

While doing this quest you should also do The Search for Slinkin and Not In Our Mine. They are all done in the Wintergarde Mine.

If completed with Leave Nothing to Chance, it leads to Understanding the Scourge War Machine.

They have fixed the exploit where you could level mining through this quest.

After two hours in the cave going back to learn mining and back to the cave again I'm level 375 mining. Went from 0 - 375 in this cave.

ok, let me get this straight, we acquire similar looking ore in howling fjord http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11218 , then they have us get some more after telling us they won't use it after all? don't these people communicate at all? then still later they have us get more of it to test http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12584 and decide it was evil. i think they need to have a news letter about this sorta stuff..... plus a health bulletin to warn players about the side effects of wearing armor made with saronite

Siege Engineer Quarterflash at Wintergarde Keep in Dragonblight wants you to recover 10 samples of Strange Ore from Wintergarde Mine.

Description

Hours before the Naxxramas invasion, one of the miners stumbled upon a dark ore that was oozing a viscous fluid. In the chaos that occurred during the evacuation of the mine, we lost the samples taken from the alien node. Now the Scourge prospects the ore for use in their machines of death.

You must get back to Wintergarde Mine, due northeast of here in the Carrion Fields, and recover the strange ore. It is imperative to our mission's success!
