Also a Slow Fall effect, that means that when u fight Deathwing, ur gonna take Fall damage!

I don't follow your logic - you say that since these daggers have an on-use slow fall, the deathwing encounter will include fall damage?
But only every 5min, and only the rogue that already has the legendary daggers will be able to avoid it - doubtful.

These daggers are both awesome and annoyingly only available to rogues. While I'm glad rogues have the opportunity to get a legendary for themselves (2 at that!), I don't like the downside of the legendaries having one recipient. You win some, you lose some - good luck to those attempting the quests.

You seem disappointed that this this legendary quest chain is gonna be similar to the last? Who'd've thunk that they'd both be legendary in difficulty and rewards? ...whoa...

This is the partner dagger - both are awarded from the legendary chain.

Over powered Equip effect 45% increased Sinister Strike and Revealing Stike, Makeing this useable even at level 90 in Mists of Pandaria.

Think before you spout nonsense like that. The +45% damage to Sinister Strike and Revealing Strike is to make the daggers useful for combat, it has nothing to do with giving rogues an 'IWIN' weapon.
With the new weapon buff the daggers will be on par with 2.6 speed combat weapons, making the daggers usable by all the specs.
And if they'll be used at all in MoP it's because of their aesthetic and nostalgic value, like all the Legendary weapons.

The wings: You can get a double set of wings if the Fury of the Destroyer buff procs and you 'use' the weapons at the same time.

To start the quest for this just pick up Proving Your Worth, a quest from Lord Afrasastrasz inside the Dragon Soul raid. This is presumably only possible on Normal difficulty – we don’t have hard facts on that, but since the quest can’t be completed in LFR, it seems unlikely to start in LFR either.

Item - Dragon Soul Legendary Daggers "immediately granting 5 combo points and cause your finishing moves to generate 5 combo points. Lasts 6 sec."

Presumably you're burning 20-30 combo points over 6 seconds, with Restless Blades in 6 seconds you've reduced the cooldown on Adrenaline rush and Killing spree by 26-36 seconds.

This will only proc once every 100 seconds or so, according to the Fear/Vengeance stack rate. It could stack faster, as The Sleeper/Dreamer may also stack faster, which is the logical way to go, or we're talking a VERY long cooldown on this proc as it wouldn't make much sense if this dagger couldn't even reach 50 stacks. Time will tell.

"Use: Slows your falling speed for 15 sec. (5 Min Cooldown)" Could be also the visual animation for the combo point proc, that lasts 6 seconds.

This is also the first legendary effect that directly manipulates your rotation/abilities.

It could possibly be the longest tooltip on an item in the game.

Golad (and Tiriosh aswell) is a word in the language of Eredun, the tongue of the Burning Legion's demons, but the word's meaning is somewhat unknown as far as I'm concerned. Wowwiki on Eredun.

During one of my latest raids, our lock went demo and had the addon which announced the kill target on Yor'sahj HC.

Going metamorphosis, one time I've seen this:

funny *!@# XD I wonder what Tiriosh translates to? Is it also a demonic word?

EDIT: Tiriosh, apparently means magenta.

But I'm curious whether it could actually be draconic words instead of demonic? Would be more fitting, and I did see Golad as a 5 letter draconic word. Sigh. Now to teach warlocks to speak draconic!

Restless blades reduces the cooldown of Adrenaline Rush and Killing Spree by 2 secs per combo point, thus if we use your numbers within that 6 second window you would reduce the CD by 46-66 seconds. Though even with intense lag, I simply cannot see only being able to pull off 4 Eviscerates. 5 Eviscerates should be the minimum in my opinion, thus putting the cooldown reduction in the 56-66 second area.

Daggers could look a lot better... It's a legendary. Perhaps the next legendary or ultimate epic weapon will be a bow, preferably usable by Hunters only. It's been so long since us Hunters have had a chance at destroying someone in 3 seconds, counting out all 10 - 49 pvp situations of course.

I think that the effects for these daggers are incredible and fitting, people have been complaining for a long while that a Rogue legendary has been long overdue, however it is like Thori'dal all over again, once you have them, there's nothing else to achieve with them, when MoP come out they will be nothing more than bragging rights unless they let rogue's transmog other daggers to look like them once they have fulfilled some sort of criteria.

What upsets me is Landslide covers the daggers along each of the stages. At the final stage, which my rogue will reach in about 1 week, I will be using Mongoose enchant on it. If I worked for months for the dagger, you bet Im going to make it look as boss as possible :P

I wonder why nobody mentioned about "on use wings".But they simply doesn't go when you use ground mount while having wings.And when you ride from top of tower to ground with ground mounts, wings will slow you.Screenshot submitted.

Did some dps test with that dagger in Madness LFR...

Combat around 60k-70k
Subt... Well I died after using the shadow step on claw... ok Im not a subt player.
Assassination around 70k-80k

I noticed the combat spec stack very slow, and when it start to proc, you want to use Evis all the times, I mean just spam that skill, but I start to thinking, its a dps lose, because you want to use RvS then Evs, so basicly in 6sec proc time you need to spam: RvS then Evs, Rvs then Evs, you would only click around 2-3 times of that rotation during the proc... if you only spam Evs, you could do around the 4-5 Evs...

So in end of the test I realize combat is not very good using that daggers. Then we have 2 options, subt and assassination.

Subt relaying on Backstab, ambush, Hemo, that could make the daggers stack faster because the Hemo dots, + Poison dots + attack speed. so subt is the ultimate specc for that daggers, however the downside of this specc is the backstab, you cant use backstab in every raid tactic, so the boss like ultraxion you need to replace the backstab to Hemo, and Madness you cant use shadow step.

Then I fell in love with assassination... Assassination spec make the daggers stack faster than combat but abit lower than subt, and when you get proc, you just spam the venom like hell. And the result is 80k dps. So rogues its time to return to assassination like the good old time.

Btw, I know some ppls will still think the combat is good, well... they say the proc of the daggers will lower then CDs of the AR, and KS, yes I agree! But it took too long time to get the stack over 30+, I didnt test exactly how long time tho. The thing is to let the dagger proc more than ever to increase the dps and combat failed to do that. However! combat still is top1 aoe dps, so this means rogues need to switch to combat during the aoe situations before the encount, you need to know exactly what will happen during the next fight or you will stack with your current talent.

Blizz made this daggers is a great news but they set a stupid spec trap to control our dps... Well done!

i can't help but notice that the weapon damage on this is now (in MoP):

1981-3680 Damage
(1572.6 Damage per second)

up from (in 4.3.4):

990-1840 Damage
(786.3 Damage per second)

which is almost exactly double the DPS

now, all the rest of the stats appear to be the same, and i understand that they are changing how weapon damage works in MoP, but does anyone know exactly how it's being changed? cause right now it just seems like this is a straight up double DPS increase across the board, which is going to make melee classes insanely OP for the few weeks after 5.0 patch hits but before MoP officially launches

I'm fairly sure that Rogues from Cata who got these legendaries can still wield them through all their MoP leveling without having to even think about getting new daggers, the Agility boost and the free Anticipation-like talent (which is like having a 90 talent while leveling) they can trigger is much more than any leveling weapon could offer from the lower weapon rack of MoP. I bet only 460+ daggers can surpass the benefits of these babes.

As of 6.0.2, these have been hotfixed to only grant 2 Agility per stack instead of 9 per stack, preventing them from being incredibly powerful after the item squish. Procs on most legendaries (Glaives/Shadowmourne especially) were making them BiS weapons for some classes again after the stat squish occurred.

However, they are quite easy to solo farm now with proper use of abilities in 10m, possibly in 25m by a well geared (560+ ilvl) rogue as well.

I find it COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS what Blizz did with the legendaries.... I mean, one thing is to nerf them so they don't overpower current content, but if you compare the stats of these daggers with say drops from Firelands, the latter ones are equal if not even better than the legendaries...

I mean, come on, what's the point then? just to have the orange named items there but them to be crappy items in reality?

At least bump the stats to be superior than any other Cata raid drop (which by the way all have almost the same 14 agility 21 stamina regardles of being item level 359 or 397)... seriously, now they seem like trash, and the fact that all 3 sets of daggers from the legendary quest have the same stats make them very lame....

TBH horrible work on your part Blizz.... horrible horrible HORRIBLE!

The proc doesn't seem to work in Timewalking dungeons. I'm getting the stacks, it pops the wings, but it only grants five initial combo points, finishing moves don't generate any combo points.

Ever since I replaced the Fangs as my main weapons I have been using this macro to make use of the slowfall effect:

/equip Golad, Twilight of Aspects
/use 16
One portion to add on the third line is:

/equip 'current mainhand'
but that leads to some issues:

Foremost, if you press the macro too quickly it will actually reequip your other weapon straight away, cancelling the slowfall.
Second, if you use main handers and daggers you need seperate macros.
Third, you need to adjust the macro everytime you get a main head upgrade.

Personally I've been manually equipping my main hand with Outfitter after landing; works perfectly fine.

As of legion, this weapon still references "Sinister Strike" and "Revealing Strike", both of these abilities were removed when Combat was redone into Outlaw.

I sent in a ticket asking about it and got this response:

I took a look at the issue and the weapon to see what is going with that. As of right now, the weapon has not been updated to have usable abilities on it but I do notice that there seems to be a fix in the works, I just don't have an ETA on that. With 8.3 you can transmog these, just be aware that at the moment they are One-hand and Off-hand specific so you will want to select the appropriate one for each hand or you'll not be able to transmog it properly.

Now that these can be transmogrified just a heads up that Golad has to be your main hand and Tiriosh has to be your off hand, if you do it differently it wont transmog and won't tell you why.
