It's still active on the PTR's as of 4/2/09.

Also please note that while you can purchase all the items needed for some of the achievements (with chocolates from the eggs), several of the achievements require you to discover the items by looting eggs.

That maybe true, but all Achievements from Noblegarden's Meta are more or less un-random. If you checked them, you'd see that the "looting" ones are not part of the Meta :) Which is good - imho.

I've seen the comment a few places that "there will always be an egg up" and "you don't have to wait for an egg to spawn." Can you explain this a bit more, please?

Do you mean that the eggs don't despawn once looted, essentially allowing you to stand over one egg and click it 400 times for all the chocolates you need?

Alternately, do you mean that when one egg is looted and despawns, a new egg spawns immediately at one of the other spawn points?

If the latter, it's going to be just as difficult to be the fastest clicker on an egg when it spawns, given all the people who are going to want to loot eggs for the mega.

For Alliance, I expect them to be found in Kharanos, Goldshire, Dolanaar, and maybe Azure Watch.

I'd say you're correct on that, considering that the achievement Spring Fling mentions the exact same cities. The same is true for the Horde part, but you already confirmed that yourself so Iinking that too would be redundant. :)

In response to Baldulf, imagine that in one given area, say Razorhill, there are 30 possible spawn points for chocolate eggs. Well, for example, there will be a constant 5 eggs up at any given time. If you loot an egg, another egg will spawn elsewhere instantly. Finding eggs is really not difficult, but getting enough for the achievements can be quite a pain if you're not very lucky at dropping the right items.

You can add /cancelaura Noblegarden Bunny but I find it easier to be a rabbit as you're smaller.

Macro for when you're collecting eggs, keeps track of chocolates too.

I find it fastest to do circles around the Goldshire inn I did that for around 2-3 hours and got everything I needed to do the achievements.

Just farmed 500 chocolates in around 3 hours at Mulgore, just by doing circles around the inn, two eggs spawn at the front, 3-4 each side, 4 at the back, two under the boat which most people miss and one under the water trough on the south side which most miss.

Farming the locations, while effective, is so wrong for this event. This is an egg hunt. There's no hunt if you just stand still and wait for eggs to appear. Get out there and run around! Use your egg basket! Have fun!

Sadly enough, this is true. I can't shake the feeling that this isn't what Blizzard had in mind with the Noblegarden event. 100's of people, camping the same spawn points. Pathetic to be honest.

The eggs are all in the starting regions (including expansion), and they do have a quick respawning rate. Contrary to the description given the eggs aren't bright... They are actually blend in really well with their surroundings. If you have trouble you can always use your mouse and find them when the gear appears on the mouse. Click-to-move can be very useful. The eggs are only in the towns where the quests start, not in the surrounding area. Though many do appear along the buldings on the towns edges.

You can find them:
Underneath torches
In the notches along buildings
Underneath or behind benches
In shrubs
By trees
Occasionally on a reachable ledge on a building

To make the best use of your chocolate don't buy any of the items that expire after a few days.

If your location is crowded try another region. The main capitals of the Horde and Alliance do get a little crowded.

If there are a lot of people gathering these, and there most likely is, I found a good place to be was at the Razor Hill warlock trainer (Dhugru Gorelust). There's two empty cauldrons next to him, I was standing between them and looting the eggs whenever they appeared in the cauldrons. The spawn rate seems to vary a bit, but I found it better than aimlesly running around. There's also a wooden box on the other side of the trainer where an egg spawns.

Yeah, I tried camping a spot and not only did I get less eggs than if I ran around, it was kind of boring. I was getting lots as long as I kept moving. Come up with a trail that works well for you and just go at it!

I was able to get A LOT of eggs from this spot (on a high pop server), figured I'd post a screenshot to help people out there that's having a lot of trouble getting eggs.

This is directly to the right of the Golshire Inn entrance/exit. Standing from the green circle, you'll be able to loot 5 egg spawns. The blue circle on the right is another close spawn, but you'll need to move just a little bit in order to reach it, so keep an eye on that spot.

When counting chocolates required, make sure to include another 50 chocolates for the Spring Circlet, if you're into getting holiday items.

Also, mages will see a Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit on the vendor for 100 chocolates.

I've seen plenty of Spring Circlets drop from eggs. My mage accrued enough chocolates to buy the tome -- can't tell if the tome can drop from eggs for mages (it's BoP)

I had quite a good bit of success with the fountain at Falconwing Square. There's quite a few spawns in it and 4 underneath the benches surrounding it.

For the Horde: Bloodhoof village is a great place to find the eggs. The trick is to not sit and wait on one egg, but to run around. By running around you have a better chance of picking up the eggs that the spawn campers are missing. Equip your basket and use it when it's cooled down for maximum egg hunting.

Start behind the Vloodhoof inn, in the boats. Check in th crates and prow of both boats, then run to the back of the inn and look under the large boat looking item. Then, as you face the inn, run up the right side, checking on either side of the wooden beams, and in the spots where they meet up. Also check under the watering trough, as one sometimes spawns there.

Run past the front of the inn towards the large tent with the druid trainers. There's going to be 2 NPC's standing around a pole, and 3 eggs can spawn there. one behind a woven rack, one directly opposite the pole, and one in a clay pot.

Run up the steps of the druid training tend, checking to the right behind the totem pole for an egg, and to the left for one under a support beam. also look straight down and check for eggs hidden between the large wooden steps. Run around the edge of the tent, and check each of the three sets of steps. In some cases you can find 4 eggs hidden. Then, come down the first set of steps, checking the the totem pole and support, the other pole, and back down the inn, back to the boats. Repeat as necessary.

If you get tired of running this loop, start at the back of the inn, check the left side, check the small outbuilding, next to the inn (including the baskets in the front) and then go around the large hide tent that has the profession trainers. Check both the tent pegs and the support beam anchors for eggs, they can be hidden in both.

shamans if your using a camping strategy, remember to use sentry totem! i camped one spot and put my totem down at another good spot nearby (that i could not see of course), it helped a lot. as long as your second spot is only an egg basket sprint away you can effectively have 6+ eggs camped. occasionally a person running around will take one of your eggs but that comes with 2 spots. i found it a much better accumulation strat then running myself anyways

Kharanos was by FAR the best place on my server. I can't say the same for other servers, but I can say the spawn areas were A LOT better.

Last night I was in Goldshire hugging the back wall of the Inn, took me over an hour and a half to get 100 eggs. Even at 2:30 in the morning there were 22 players to compete against. I got one rabbit around 60 eggs, 1 dress, and 1 tux.

I started in Kharanos today at 9:37pm server time. 7 level 80s in Dun Morgh. As I am typing this there is one other person here with me, a level 39.

The eggs spawn on the sides of the Inn, on the Inn balcony, inside a cauldron west of the Inn, behind some gun rackets, between trees, under the Inn balcony, behind the tents, etc. This was MUCH better than the areas around the Goldshire inn.

I have already farmed well over 100 eggs and will probably be here another hour or two with alts. I just got my Spring Robes and I bought the flowers because I never got them.

I think Blizzard did a good job with this event. Although there is still RNG, you do have the ability to buy items with the eggs if you can't get something to drop. I think Blizzard did this so they wouldn't have to deal with all the crying that happened during "Love is in the Air" because of the candy bags.

I personally did not loot a single egg that did not contain Noblegarden Chocolate, out of about 300 eggs. I think it's safe to say that they have a 100% drop rate on the live servers.

That's what I have been telling everyone on my server(ally side) but apparently they never hunted eggs before because they are all like 13 and their parents never could get off their asses to DO anything for them, probably why half of them are so disagreeable and unlikable.

But enough for that, something constructive.

The best place in my opinion aesthetically to do these is dolanaar in Teldrassil, gold shire isn't too bad either, for horde silverymoon is probably the only one that doesn't look lame but I don't play a horde so I'm not sure on that.

Nobody complains when a hunter camps a Spirit Beast spawn point. As much as hunting might be the spirit of finding rare things, the mechanics of the game are known and unless you want to role-play a character who doesn't know what a spawn point is, you should do what you prefer. I found camping to be a lot more effective and significantly less stressful.

Mathematically, the highest rate of egg distribution is had when every spawn point is camped. That would also result in the most even distribution to each player (assuming one person to a spawn and no spawn is favored). Because picking alwaysforces some other egg to spawn, and camped spawns will be picked nearly instantly, campering will lead to an accumulation of eggs in the uncamped areas. So searchers will benefit from an increased density as long as they don't bother wasting time looking at camped areas. So I do not think that camping this event damages it for others.

Blizzard decreased the spawn area of eggs from last year. Why? Previous easter events had the eggs scattered around the entire zone and in the level 1 starting areas. Now eggs only spawn in the starting towns. Five locations, fifty thousand players. Something seems wrong here.

If you play in a crowded server i would personally recommend to camp eggs instead of running around. In mi opinion the best place to do that is in Razorhill, there's a tent (the one who has the warlock's instructor) which has 3 spawn points. 1 inside one pot, another inside the other pot, and the third it's inside de small opened box. I've submitted 4 screenshots to show the place and the eggs properly (pending to upload).
This place works better when a lot of people it's farming eggs around, because the eggs spawn faster (i think, not proved). If you climb to the tent and stay in the center of it, you can loot the three eggs without moving.

Stand on top of the wagon at 48/45 in Falconwing Square (Eversong Woods), on this exact spot. There's atleast 6 different egg spawn points here, all reachable from this spot.

I found Azure Watch to be the best place for allies. Generally there aren't many people, and theres a really good route to run to get plenty of eggs. Basically, you want to run around the shack with the warrior trainer, going behind the tree. There are roughly eight spawns (2 in the bushes between the two shacks, one behind a tree, two behind either shack, two in the bushes next to the road and one under the little torch next to the warrior trainer). Most of the time these spots aren't camped, and lots of the time there are eggs.

There is a very good way you can easily find the eggs when running around.
1. Press "Esc".
2. Click "Video".
3. Click on the "Effects" tab.
4. Decrease "Environment Detail" to lowest.

This will make all unclickable small objects invisible, but the clickable objects will still be shown. For instance, a lot of eggs are hidden under a cart. If you are +10 yards away from that place, you will NOT see the cart but you will see the egg under it. Same goes with eggs that spawn between 3 - 4 crates. You won't see the crates, but will be able to see the egg. When you walk to a ~5 yard distance of the egg, you will see the "invisible" objects. This is much better then going to every spawn point to see if the egg is there.

I can myself confirm that if noone loots these (I presume this) after the event ends, atleast one won't despawn, the one behind the "chair" at the entrance to the inn in Karanos, I found the egg there, got to be a rabbit, got the achievement(I Found one!), 13/4/2010 - 3 days after Noblegarden ends.

Falconwing Square has to be THE best area for horde players.
Within 15minutes with Travel Form + Egg Rush! (travel form only for the extra boost when the egg basket boost fades) i accumulated 80eggs following this path:

Also, between Brill, Razor Hill and Blodhoof Village, I found Razor Hill by far most prolific

So far the holiday just started and a lot of players doing this. However, just camp a spawn place or go to a place less likely to be crowded should do the trick.
Also....A tisket, a tasket, a noblegarden backet, i would not turn this quest in right away and keep the basket to use for ten more eggs for this quest.

Don't forget to look in the thick bushes (hahah), in corners, sometimes under carts, and on lightposts.
I got mine within 20 minutes...pretty simple. Just ran around the Blacksmith building in GS and then after three laps went around the inn and repeat.

TIP (if not already mentioned): Place your graphics settings on the lowest possible setting. This removes ALOT of unwanted vegetation. Most of the time also, it removes far distant objects but not the eggs behind them. Therefore this allows hidden eggs to be easily seen. :)

You can obtain the mount through the egg you loot in the world event Noblegarden.
I was running around farming the title on my level 19 twink, and suddently when checking my bag for tuxedo set, I noticed that I had the mount in my bag. I then thought how the hell could I get that when I haven't bought it (because it takes a long time to farm)

These eggs do seem to drop the Swift Springstrider mount despite not showing up on the loot table.
I was lucky enough to get TWO of these in one night and was going to give them away to friends...but they are BoP for no legitimate reason; the pink swiftstrider mount from Love Is In the Air was not BoP.

I play alliance as my main and I found Goldshire to be very overpopulated, even on my fairly low population server (Azuremyst EU). I assume that Razor Hill is about the same for the horde. It might be easier for you to travel out to the less populated areas but you'll still be fighting over the spawn points.

There seems to be two main ways that people get the eggs, either following a pattern around the starting hub and collecting eggs as you go or camping a spawn point. I usually run around a pattern as I feel I get more eggs this way but it depends on what you'd rather do I guess.

My Attempt
Started out at 10am at Teldrassil, it's now 12:30. So far I've managed to collect 250+ eggs with no sign of the Swift Springstrider mount. However I have gotten;

7x Blossom Bloom
1x Spring Flowers
1x Spring Rabbit's Foot
2x Spring Circlet
3x Tuxedo Pants
2x Spring Robes
2x Tuxedo Shirt

Second year waiting for the elegant dress to drop so fingers crossed there!

I just got Swift Springstrider in an egg. Of course I didn't get it till I had 50 eggs to go before being able to buy it. But at least it's a chance you have. It costs 500 chocolate from the vendor.

As of 2012 - patch 4.3 - Noblegarden offers the new mount Swift Springstrider, available for purchase for 500 x Noblegarden Chocolate. The mount can be purchased from the Noblegarden vendors in any of the starter cities, and the Swift Springstrider itself has a very rare chance to drop from Brightly Colored Egg.

The Noblegarden Chocolate are received from opening Brightly Colored Egg, which are found spawning on the ground in the starter cities (Brill, Razor Hill, Blodhoof Village, and Falconwing Square for Horde, or Goldshire, Kharanos, Dolanaar, and Azure Watch for Alliance), with a lead-in 'breadcrumb' quest Spring Gatherers (Horde) or Spring Collectors (Alliance) from any of the main cities. Less populated towns may be preferable for farming Brightly Colored Egg to cut down on competition.

While the Noblegarden Chocolate stack up to 250, the Brightly Colored Egg do not stack at all. Collectors may wish to make a '/use Brightly Colored Egg' macro to keep opening their eggs to avoid running out of bag space.

Beyond the Swift Springstrider, the Brightly Colored Egg contains many items required for the Noble Gardener achievement; whatever is left can be purchased using Noblegarden Chocolate farmed from the Brightly Colored Eggs.

Standing in ONE place for 10 to 11 hour's where i could reach TWO eggs, i got a total of 257 eggs, where i didnt get around 7ish eggs. So if you are planing on just standing still and farming 2 eggs, it's NOT the quickest way. =)

257/10=25,7/60=0,42 eggs every minute

total eggs/time spent=25,7/minute in one hour=0,42 eggs every minute

Since you cant place those eggs on your action bar for quick open, I ended up losing alot of eggs so i created this macro:

/use Brightly Colored Egg

Its a simple but quite useful macro since using my mouse to move all way down to bag to open the eggs made me lose lot of time/eggs. Just put it on your bar and click on it and it will open one egg each time you click it.

Being a druid you can have a little fun with the opposing faction village , go there in flight form and steal eggs... not only do you feel the love from the opposing faction but the chocolate eggs taste better too.

Go to Azuremyst and jump onto the central monument where the benches are. By standing on one of the stone legs, you can reach 6 spawn points without moving. If people are busy at the other nodes you can pull them in fairly quick.

Though it may not seem like it the two best spots to egg hunt (for the horde) are Brill & Blood-hoof Village and i find if your a class with a passive movement speed buff for example Shaman(wolf) hunter(aspect of the cheetah) and Druid(travel form) try to run in a wide oval around the areas and don't just look down for eggs check in baskets on top of small huts and even in water troughs! for my hunter i attained (during slow times of 3am-8am) approx. maybe 700 eggs in under two hours so try around that time.

I have been gathering eggs like crazy in order to get the Mount that is sold by the Noblegarden vendors (costs 500 Chocolates) and I ended up getting the mount on my 521st egg.

This does not show up on the loot table but honest to god I got one. Very nice surprise.

For Alliance, I've found that the best spot to farm these is at the inn, in Goldshire, Elwynn Forest. The spot I've found allows you to reach FIVE eggs, all without moving. The trick is to have a birds eye view camera angle, to best see all five eggs. one perk is if you get the camera angle just right, you can have your bags open without blocking your view of any of the eggs (so you can open them as you go, or be able to see how much bag space you have). Another perk of this spot is (because of where it is, and the camera angle) other players who like to run around the inn don't block your view of any of the eggs.

Out of 500 eggs, completed yesterday (4/8/12) I received:

I had the most luck getting the eggs needed in Kharanos and Dolanaar. I started gathering eggs when the event went live on the servers, and it was quite easy to run around in a loop and collect them. Kharanos had the best respawn rate for me, but started getting crowded so I headed over to Dolanaar. After getting crowded out of Dolanaar I headed back to Kharanos, but almost all the spawn points were being camped. I ran around for a bit sneaking in and grabbing eggs from places no one was at, but then I settled down near the warlock trainers and sat on top of the cauldron. One egg spawns in the cauldron, one spawns under it, and one spawns near the crates.

I did end up getting my Elegant Dress this year a little after 300 eggs. I got the Noble achievement two years ago so I just needed to farm for the mount.

I got the Swift Springstrider in one of the Brightly colored eggs after opening about 176 of them. I didn't even know I could get it this way. I was so excited. Now I don't have to try to get 500 of the eggs with so many others trying at the same time. It must be my lucky day. :)

As Horde, I would say that Eversong Woods - Falconwing Square is the best place to farm eggs. Even if the competition is a little higher then some other places, the fact that no druids can take advantage of the "flying while looting" and that the path is just a giant circle this is still probably the superior place to get eggs. Besides, the more people there are the faster the eggs spawn.

Be sure to equip yourself with this handy-dandy macro;

Haven't tried on the Horde side yet, but for Alliance the best place by far to farm eggs is still Azure Watch. I counted 60 unique spawn points around the town - in bushes, under lamps, logs and the forge table, behind trees, buildings, benches and hippogryph roosts, in and behind boxes and behind rocks, crystals and the edges of the bits surrounding the inn. Therefore, even when busy, there are enough eggs spawning to pick up at least 1 per circuit, usually 5-7, up to about 12 if it's quiet. Using the "Egg Rush" sprint from the basket makes a circuit take a minute or two so you can get all the eggs you need very quickly. Anticlockwise seems a slightly better route as more of the spawn points are visible before you reach them so you can skip past if there's not one at that point.

The eggs have a chance to drop everything - Tuxedo shirt and pants, Spring Robes, Elegant Dress, Spring Flowers, Spring Circlet, Blossoming Branch, Spring Rabbit's Foot (pet) and Swift Springstrider (mount). The mount DOES drop, it dropped for a guildie after 252 eggs (counting only chocolate contents, no robes etc...) and for me on my third character after 438 eggs (the first two characters I ended up buying the mount with chocolate). Have uploaded my Wowhead Client data, so hopefully the page for the contents of the Brightly Colored Egg will update to prove this shortly.

The best place I've found Horde-side is the cart in Falconwing square. There are a total of seven egg spawn points on, under, and around the cart. If you stand on the edge of the cart, on the side closest to the fence and just a bit below the corner of the cart, you can click on all seven eggs when they spawn without moving at all. I was averaging six eggs per minute.

Two spawn under the cart right next to the wheels, two spawn between the cart and the fence, two spawn on the other side of the fence a good distance from each other (it takes careful positioning to be able to reach both), and one spawns in the back of the cart itself.

The Springstrider drops from this. Hopefully this will show on the loot table soon, as I use the looter and got the drop.

My advice is if you are in an area with less people, or on at a low-pop time (like early morning hours), keep moving. You will collect many more eggs on the move than even by finding the magical spots with several spawns in reach.

When the population is high, if you must loot eggs, find a spot and camp it. If you can't reach 2 eggs without moving, you're in a bad spot. There are several places where you should be able to get 3 or more with no movement. Get your camera angle to cover all areas, and turn on auto-looting.

This is kind of a ^&*!@# move, but if you find someone encroaching on your spot, just click the egg without looting. I find that it angers people, and they tend to move on to a new spot, without me saying a word.

I'm sure it has been said elsewhere, but you should hold your chocolates until you have got enough to buy everything you need. Buying a rabbit or mount early, then getting the drop later on just sucks, and by the time you loot all those eggs you should have gotten most of the items for the holiday. By the time I got the mount drop, I had enough eggs to buy 4 extra rabbits. Those will sell at a premium 6 months from now.

The best place by far if your farming for eggs is Goldshire on the Alliance side. In front of the Inn by the horses, or around the back in the same spot. Several spawn places there. Also the Strider Mount, is now available as a drop from the Eggs. I got mine in 65 eggs, but they have the same chance of dropping for every egg, not sure what, but very very very low.

I did mine in Exodar Azure Reach area. I was able to farm about 100+ an hour using the basket that boosts your speed. I was able to get all my stuff done and I got the mount before farming around 350. Good luck and happy hunting.

I've farmed eggs in Kharanos and Azuremyst for a few years now. For those non-campers (/shoo) like myself - you may well be missing a lot of spawns. Each year I see the majority of people making "circuits" to collect eggs - but in many cases, running right past eggs that are slightly obscured by an environmental object such as a box, barrel, fence or foliage.

A couple of quick changes to your in-games graphics settings might help, results may vary depending on your own graphics hardware.

Options > Graphics >
Environmental Detail (Low)
Ground Clutter (Low)

If you then zoom all the way back to maximum distance, as you run... you'll see the egg spawns... before you see whatever's obscuring it.

Personally I point the camera almost directly downward too... run around to the obscured spawns and click the eggs. I can't even see what's obscuring the egg... but the eggs are always clickable. :)

A good place to farm these eggs is at Azure Watch.

The crystal in he center of the village has eggs spawn around it.
If you go on top of the crystal you can collect these eggs with no problems.

I figured I'd make a sort-of-guide for the horde side, on how to gather these eggs rather quickly.

HORDE ONLY (Unless you're brave)
I would also like to note I did this at 3am-4am on Stormscale eu, therefore I'm unsure if this will work during peak times.

Here's a few things you'll need (option but they do help):

Egg Basket - You get this with the main quest (collect 10 chocolates), equip it and hotkey it. You can use this 100% of the time, when the buff runs out you can use it again, running is a lot better than mounting for egg farming.
Time & patience - This will test you..
Ability to shift click - It's quicker.
Large Bags - Because if you do this right, you'll loot way more than you can open.

So, what you want to do is head to Brill and locate the 2nd biggest building, it's the one opposite the Inn. You want to start at the door and work clockwise, this allows you to keep moving and looting and hopefully you can catch respawns. Many of the eggs are easily seen, because brill is quite dark itself however there are a few that are a little harder to notice and I see a lot of people missing them, making them ripe for the taking.

Here's a list of the "harder" eggs to find at this location:

Immediately after you turn right from the door there is a wall, between the wall there is an egg.
There is also an egg in the cart, pan up to see it.
Continuing around clockwise there are some horde crates, behind them is an egg.
At the back of the building there's a bush, there is an egg inside it.
Near the door again, there is a first aid trainer and reagent vendor, there is an egg in the broken crate.
There is also an egg in the hand of the abomination.

Other than these, the others are quick easy to spot as long as you look around. Take note of where everything is, after 3-4 runs around the building you will remember where they are located and it will make it quicker and easier.

I also want to note, if you're running around while someone else is. Try to get in front of them, even if it means sacrificing an egg or two, you'll make a lot more doing this.

Do not waste your time jumping up the wall to get the ones up high on the brackets, unless no one else is around. It's more time consuming that its worth and could make you lose on a few eggs due to other players.

If you keep doing this you will gain eggs in no time. I found this out at around 100 eggs and farmed 400 more in an hour or so. (considering it took me 1hr to get the first 100 I thought this worked well)

I finished the achievements yesterday during primetime and it took me about 2 hours to get the eggs needed. Today I woke up early and decided to go for Swift Springstrider and Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit, it took my about 1 hour to get all the 600 chocolates required.

This is the area I mostly ran around in grabbing eggs, you will also be able to see more eggs while running to the ones on the edges of this area, don't be afraid to pick them up aswell. Eggspawns

I can confirm that the Swift Springstrider does drop from the eggs. dont despair about the 0% drop rate remember, the eggs have been there since forever, and the mount since 2012. So this will definitely poison the numbers a bit. I, myself got it on the 15th egg, and i was rather fortunate i think.

If you are mass farming eggs a macro such as /use Brightly Colored Egg is great to spam inbetween picking up your eggs!
I also did this on a Hunter for aspect so I didn't have to mount up. Happy hunting :)

As of April 2nd. Blizzard increased the spawn rate of the eggs by a lot. So, finding Teldressil being a wonderful place to collect eggs. (Even high population, due to servers combined..) I got 1000 eggs in about 2-3 hours of farming them on the left wall side of the inn. In that 1000 eggs, I got myself a nice Springstrider! <3

1500 eggs later. Okay, here's what I did. I made the goal to get 3 Springstriders via 500 chocolate turn ins.
I saw that about every 300-400 eggs, I would get a Swift Springstrider. So at the end of this I got 6 springstriders! :) Woot for the 4k each one.

I've been farming this for a while now and managed to get myself two mounts.
I'd really recommend farming this at Razor Hill (Durotar). Simply route around the smaller building (The Inn). There's 7-8 eggs in total around that house.

At 48.1,45.7 Falconwing Square you can loot 5 at once. I submitted a screenshot for approval that shows the spawn points and where I stood. By the way, over 500 eggs and no mount drop. I had to hop over to the vendor to purchase the mount.

I spent about an hour and 15 minutes farming in Brill an I found it incredibly useful to use this macro:

/use Brightly Colored Egg
/use Egg Basket

I bound that to shift+s and my auto run to shift+w which made for incredibly fast movement, as well as looting the eggs on the way. I ran circles around the outside of all of the building in Brill and even though there was quite a lot of competition there were always eggs for me to pick up. With Environmental Detail set to low you can more or less see the eggs before the surroundings load around it.

My results in an hour and 15 minutes were:

237 Noblegarden Chocolates
3 Blossoming Branch
3 Black Tuxedo Pants
2 Spring Circlets
1 Spring Robes
1 Spring Rabbit

I have compiled a list of what I have received for each of my eggs. This is from the 2013 Noblegarden event (during patch 5.2) I will update it every 25-100 eggs that I collect.
As a side note: As of 5.2 Blizzard created a hotfix to make these spawn more frequently, presumably because of the increase amount of players in each town due to the "cross-realm zones."

if you are interested in the mount, but are not lucky enough to get it from the eggs you can still buy it for 500 chocolates from the vendor. if you include the chocolate you need for the achievements this would put you at 605 chocolate

Important : if you loot a mount from one of the eggs, send it to one of your twinks. since the mount is unique you can only have one in your inventory. if you already have one in your inventory and get an egg with another of those mounts inside, you will not be able to loot the mount until you remove the old one from your inventory via auction house, twink or trade.

After just spending several hours polishing my farming technique for these eggs i found it good enough to share in the hopes it can help others farm their mount or pets to sell easier.

I personally chose to farm in Kharanos after briefly visiting the areas and finding it to be the best.
It has a much denser spread of eggs and a smaller paying field to farm.

The eggs are not on a timer, but are on the principle there must always be X amount available, so as one gets looted, another immediately spawns in the area, so theoretically the more people farming them the better if you are camping a spot with several in reach. This was my principle for farming.
For the first half i stood outside the inn (see submitted screenshot - im the bunny) The red circles depict the eggs that were within reach without moving - so in total 5 eggs without out running around or panning a camera were available. They were spawning pretty fast, and found was always clicking to either loot or open. This was the sweet spot. As the night went on fewer people were in the area and i found i eventually got to the point where none spawned for 10min, leading me to figure out the X in area over a spawn time. After tinkering i found the best method is to travel to 2 other sites to keep the spawning process going. The 1 purple circle is another spawn point, however moving is needed, and depending on how fast the others are spawning is a waste of time to get.
The 2 'secondary' spawn points are indicated by the black arrows.

The first secondary spawn point is around the corner of the inn, there are 4 possible points - 2 on the inns outer wall/shelf/floor thingy, 1 in the corner of the mountain and 1 sneakily behind the broken barrels.

The second is to the Left of the screenshot, across the road where the stone wall is, behind it are 4 other possible locations spread evenly behind the wall.

Through these 3 points, you will always have eggs that spawn and always be busy, with 0 downtime.
I eventually farmed out my 550 for the mount and dress in a little over 2 hours (also factor in the learning process so this could be cut down substantially)

Also, i am aware that 550 is a very small sample size when dealing with these obscure drop rates, however i feel they still do have some relevance so here they are - In 550 eggs i looted the following:

14 Blossoming Branch
8 tuxedo Shirts
6 Spring Flowers
4 Tuxedo Pants
3 Spring Circlets
2 Spring Robes
1 Elegant Dress
And 3 of the pets

Also another note i have found during this experiment, is that (to no surprise through reading the achievement carefully) that you have to personally loot the tuxedo shirt and pants through eggs to get the achievement, buying them will not count towards it.
Also, you might read that you can trade 5 chocolates for 1 egg and get 6 for every 5 looted. Whilst yes, this is the case - this has a 1 hour CD and thus renders it very impractical other than the 1 needed for planting one in your factions major city.

I got the Swift Springstrider mount after about 560 eggs. I don't know if that's a rare thing being as its not labeled here. But it is there! It should be added to the list of stuff you can find in the eggs. :)

I confirm that Swift Springstrider CAN drop of Brightly Colored Egg.

FUN FACT: I had opened about 350 eggs and dropped no Spring Flowers up to that moment, then told to my girlfriend "I will drop the mount before the flowers". And it happened, dropped the mount and 5 eggs later dropped the flower.

After spending roughly 3 hours farming eggs in goldshire, I was able to collect 1450 eggs. During this time i had 3 Swift Springstrider drop from the eggs. Going by this and other comments here it seems to be around 1 in 500 eggs, or 0.2% drop rate.

Edit: Would like to add that they were fairly evenly spaced while farming, first one around 400, second around 1000, last one was just before I stopped.

I have hit over 3000 eggs and have NOT seen one mount...I have however made enough chocolate to purchase 3 mounts which are selling in the AH @ 8000 each...spot to sit - goldshire - 44.04/66.38 if ya place yourself straight in the middle of this square you can reach four eggs without moving...I have attached a pic for ref. there is a fifth egg out of reach but everyone goes for this one and turns their backs on the other four so you can grab them all each time - and I seriously have grabbed so much of all of the other stuff I had to constantly keep deleteing it - again over 3000 eggs NO mount

Meanwhile, ALL wearable pieces are "green" items, and bind on pick up. Therefore, they insta add into your transmog-collection. BUT: You can transmog them only while noblegarden is active. If you wanna wear them off-time, collect them with the right char and keep the item. Chances are good, you find some of the vendor-sold items (multiple times) in the brightly colored eggs instead of chocolate. So before buying single items: collect at first all the chocolate for the wanted not-yet-found-in-eggs items and trade it in at last.

As of 4/5/2018, these Brightly Colored Eggs found in the starting zones *do* have the chance to contain the mount, "Swift Springstrider," which you ordinarily have to pay 500 chocolates for from the vendor. After opening approximately 300 eggs...I obtained one in this manner, and it should be added to the loot list. Thank you.

This is probably the perfect spot to farm eggs in Brill, I marked in red the places that have eggs, they also have a crazy fast respawn I was getting around 400/hour or more, got enough for the 2 bunnies, the mount and the hearthstone and eating the 100 chocolates in just over 3 hours:

It's to the left of the Bandage Trainer, Nurse Neela. Position yourself like in the screenshot and you will only need minor movement to be able to collect all eggs.

Just try and be alone to get the maximum of it, you can share but it won't be as good. Also make sure to clear your bags every now and then because it will be full of tuxedos, shirts, dresses and spring rabbits.

Noble gardens is an event that runs for a week during the month of April. For Horde, eggs can be found in Razor Hill, Falconwing Square, Bloodhoof Village, and Brill. For Alliance, they can be found in Kharanos, Goldshire, Dolanaar, and Azure Watch. I stood in one spot and continued to click on an egg that re spawned every 5 to 8 seconds.

As of patch 8.3, the best spot for Alliance is in Azure Watch to the side of the inn. Stand in between the two huts with boxes/chests in them (to the left is the mailbox). You have 3 eggs spawning constantly: one behind each hut and one in between them.

If you aren't one to run around grabbing eggs and prefer to stand in one place and camp, there's a sweet spot in Falconwing Square just to the right of Marsilla Dawnstar on a corner of the fountain where you can reach 4 eggs - 2 by the rim where the bushes are, one in the nearest fountain alcove, and the one in the further fountain alcove to the right/east. This last egg seems to be in reach at this specific spot due to a pathing error, as being slightly to the left or right (which would actually make you closer) counts as being too far away. Got nearly 500 chocolates in an hour during primetime. Coordinates with Tomtom are 46.95, 46.52. Hope this helps.

I have 6000 noblegarden chocolates so must have opened around 6400 eggs.

Only got 2x Swift Springstrider. Odds seem a lot lower than the comments here suggest.

Only got 1x Cursed Rabbit's Foot and got it pretty early on (within my first 500 eggs i think). Either this drop is really rare or it drops once per character.

Neither of these drops are in the Wowhead list.

While I was trying to farm today as Alliance, with Warmode On, on Moon Guard, I went to Goldshire to farm these.

However, I noticed, the spawn of these may had been hotfixed at some point within the last few days for god knows what reason.

I notice that after running around the goldshire building 1-2 times, the spawns of these eggs stops completely. I sat for 30 minutes to confirm this after collecting them all. Some eggs spawn for a maximum of about 2-3 times before they stop spawning.

I also notice nobody around Goldshire-- or anywhere, is farming these anymore. I hadn't seen a single person in the area farming. Probably because of this reason.

Nobody else has said anything, and nobody in Trade or General chat in game will confirm this issue aside from what I'm experiencing.

I believe after you leave the area for x amount of time or log off, they will respawn.

No longer need to camp a spot and the fastest method by far is to run a loop around the starting area of your choice.

I've just farmed 1500 in one sitting and Azure Watch on Azuremyst Isle was the best zone we found. Run a loop around the outside of the buildings and cut in every few laps to the fountain where up to around 6 can spawn at once. Druids can't use their giant owl bird form here to block everyones vision which is great.

Using the below macro to cancel bunny form and use the speed boost from the egg basket makes this grind super fast.

Something to make the farm less frustrating (at least it did for me on a big server): you can enable interact key under Options -> Gameplay -> Controls and assign a comfy keybind to it while farming. This way you won't just randomly click other people while trying to loot the egg :) might take some time to adjust if you are used to the clicking but it's definitely a lot less stressful

If you're going for multiple vendor items, try to save up a total. It is possible to snag Swift Springstrider out of one, saving you 500 chocolates. Got mine at 586.
Everything else on the 2nd and 3rd pages of the vendor do not drop from eggs, so those are what you'll be saving eggs for. Mostly toys and pets.

Also, your interact key can be very useful, you won't even have to look for eggs if you know their general locations.
and macro '/use Brightly Colored Egg' since you can't just put the eggs on your hotbar.

Play as a class that can move faster at all times, such as Shaman with Ghost Wolf, or Druid with Travel Form.

The Swift Springstrider is still obtainable from Brightly Colored Egg. I got mine around egg 418. If your goal is to get all the collectible items, it is probably best to farm all the eggs you need before buying the mount in case you get it early and can save the 500 eggs for something else.

If you want to run almost non stop (only stop to loot an egg) while opening the Brightly Colored Egg to get your Noblegarden Chocolate make a macro.
You need to cancel the Noblegarden Bunny aura if you want to use the basket.
Of course you need to have the Eagger Basket which you get from A Tisket, a Tasket, a Noblegarden Basket
Using an 'interact with target' keybinding is also useful.

The way i do it is just run around with both mouse button down (is the same a using your move forward key), using my interact with target key when facing an egg.
And using this macro to either, use Eagger Basket, use Brightly Colored Egg or cancel Noblegarden Bunny

It took me about 1600 Brightly Colored Eggs to get a Swift Springstrider from opening them alone, so it seems like the odds are quite low. I also opened about 500 Brightly Colored Eggs to get my first Spring Rabbit's Foot. Got close to 10 Spring Rabbit's Foots in total, along with at least 10 -20 each of the other items that come out of Brightly Colored Eggs.

DO NOT FARM EGGS IN VALDRAKKEN. You're wasting your time. The eggs are few in number and usually behind plants, under benches, and other annoying places.

Go to older zones instead.

For example, on horde, go to Razor Hill south of Orgrimmar. There is literally zero traffic and the eggs are EVERYWHERE in plain sight. You don't need no waypoints lol. Bucket loads of them. One lap of the town square takes me exactly 5 minutes and there's somewhere around 55-61 eggs. By the time you've finished one lap they've respawned where you started. Takes 1 hour to loot between 600-720 eggs. You need to open the eggs as you go otherwise you won't have time to clear your bags before they've respawned.

If you prefer hunting the eggs as a rabbit (like myself), pick up the quest A Tisket, a Tasket, a Noblegarden Basket and equip the Borrowed Egg Basket. DO NOT turn in the quest as the off-hand will be removed from your inventory and the Eagger Basket cannot be used as a rabbit. I made the mistake of turning the quest in and don't feel like swapping characters after 200+ eggs.

In 2024, I needed a total of 1750 Brightly Colored Eggs to buy everything from the vendor:

Noble Gardener's Hearthstone - 250
A Drake's Big Basket of Eggs - 200
Lovely Duckling - 250
Noblegarden Bunny - 200
Mystical Spring Bouquet - 100
Swift Springstrider - 500
Colored Circlet x5 - 250

It took me 1627 Brightly Colored Eggs before I found 1 Swift Springstrider. So while some comments here say they got a mount in 400-500 eggs, it's very possible you may farm all 1750 eggs without seeing one mount drop. Happy Egg Hunting! :)

Sick and tired of inconsiderate looters, er, 'poaching' your eggs? If you happen to have Eyes For You Only from the lunar event, use it and players will no longer be in your way. Unfortunately it doesn't affect mounts but it still makes things easier.

I can confirm after opening exactly 1000 i got the mount lol i have bought another to sell but the prices are terrible at the minute so going to save it a month or 2 i reckon.

It isn't listed on Wowhead as a potential drop, but so far this morning I've gotten three Spring Florist's Pouch from eggs.

Which is annoying because I bought one two days ago based off of thinking they wouldn't drop from eggs...

So giving you my numbers, I was flying around, collecting roughly over 2 000 eggs with my druid, got 12 pets and 0 mounts. Countless greens, deleted probably 4x 40 slots of green stuff + some branches. So I can buy a few mounts but for now got zero from eggs xd happy egg hunting

Reading the comments, I don't know WHEN did it change, but as of now (2024) the Swift Springstrider dropped from the egg isn't automatically soulbound anymore,
You can now get some gold selling it on the AH :)

Once upon a time there were five separate objects with the same name and I think I know why. If you notice as you are farming these in Vanilla/TBC/Wrath, you will see more than one painting pattern on the eggs. Thus the need for different "objects" in the game. Five in each area? No! In Brill for example I encountered only three and that was after farming almost two hundred. Which egg decoration belongs to which "object" and which of the three patterns belong to each zone? I have no idea.

Note also that in Retail the egg pattern has been radically altered. The eggs are no longer gayly painted but now they have pastel tones and of course a higher pixel quality too.

The locations above are rather approximate due to limitations at Wowhead and the small egg size. This AddOn has all of the locations in the Classic and Retail zones and is super precise!

Where to farm? That is the question! Zones are mostly empty on the (preCata/Cata) Classic servers and quite busy at Razor Hill and Goldshire on Retail. Each zone has its advantages and disadvantages for egg farming:

Horde:

Brill: Retail: Great variety of locations, most easy to find. A great place to farm. Wrath: Compact but the shrubbery is very heavily textured, making the eggs rather difficult to see as almost all the eggs are concealed in the bushes. Cata: So quiet and this adversely affects respawns
Razor Hill: Eggs are easy to see but you have a lot of running to do.
Bloodhoof Village: Some very devious / clever hiding of the eggs and a huge area to run around. Avoid
Falconwing Square: Compact and although attempts were made to hide the eggs, once you get a roll on you will zip through easily. Best for Horde for all game versions, busy or quiet!

Alliance:

Goldshire: Retail: Everyone comes here so respawns happen fast! No optimal route though. Just circle around the innClassic Wrath/Cata: Eggs seem few and far between here as it's just too quiet.
Kharanos: Easy to see the eggs and your route will be a simple oval. A great location for Alliance, especially Classic!
Dolanaar: Eggs are mostly hidden in dense shrubs and there is a huge running area. Avoid!
Azure Watch: Compact, eggs are well hidden and there is no real optimal route.

Ideally you want a few other players with you as the respawns will come thick and fast and this situation is where Falconwing Square really shines. To see accurate maps (there aren't any here on Wowhead and indeed it is just not possible due to the imprecision of coordinates) I strongly suggest this AddOn by yours truly. It has almost every spawn point in every Classic and Retail zone too! Alliance? Toss-up between Goldshire and Kharanos with Goldshire shading it as its more social/fun.

(The egg counts for the maps above are way off. Wowhead is not designed for recording this kind of data. Additionally don't go to Stormwind etc as per the maps)

Recommend spamming this macro while gathering - cancels the shapeshift, uses the speedboost and opens eggs.

Why do these thing stack up to 18? Am I the only one who finds that strange? 20 would make sense since that's what the stack limit was for so many types of items for like, most of WoW's history, but why 18? It seems random. Is there a lore reason behind it? Is the number itself some kind of (no pun intended) "easter egg?"

The spawntime in Falconwing Square has been significantly increased, as I used to be able to do a full sweep without ever needing to stop for a respawn. This is with 0 other people around, mind you.

For Goldshire, there is a spot where the horses stand outside. 9 possible eggs with minimal moving around.

Also, don't be an annoying hunter with your pets out for this. I've played a hunter, the pets get in your own way. Be courteous to your fellow players.

If you want to be -extremely- lazy and are Alliance, just stand on top of the crystal structure behind the vendors in Azuremyst.

There are eggs that spawn against the corners of the structure, in a box next to it, between the structure and a bench directly behind an NPC called Jaelell, and so on. All can be reached when standing on the crystal, with a slight adjustment for some.

You can mostly AFK it, just tab back in and spin around to pick them all up every two or three minutes, easiest to do when you've got Interact bound - just need to face them.

If you're hunting for eggs at night and you have the Date Simulation Modulator from Love is in the Air, use it and set it to "Peaceful Day". Makes the eggs much easier to see.

Is it just me being unlucky (following behind someone doing the same route in just the amount of time for eggs to de-spawn), or is the respawn rate much slower when there are less people farming? When I was farming the other night, there were a ton of people around and I was getting hundreds pretty quickly; I got 1000 within a couple of hours. I was farming just now when there was almost no one there and I only found about a hundred in a half hour.
